The Flash The Flash General Discussion and Speculation Thread - Part 7

I have some interesting doubts that I would really like to share with you guys:

If Zoom can manipulate time, he should be able to move faster also onto the air, as time passes different through him than through Barry during their free fall fight, however, as they jump into the air both of them lose the "lightning effect", which shows that their speeds are the same. As cisco says "he's gonna take it out of the equation altogether". The concept is "terminal velocity, the highest velocity attainable by a free falling object" implying that both of them will have normal speed during free fall:dotf:. Zoom only surpass barry because he's more skilled ( and I think he has more strength too, as he shows he can lift a man with one arm as if he was a ragdoll ):waa:. Besides this, Zoom has more things in common with the Black Flash than he does with the actual Zoom of the comics ( the claws, the mask... :emp: :palps:
also If you go to cwtv.com there is a featured video in which you can see the 3d animation of Jay Garrick pursuing Zoom and you can see the face of Zoom which is "the face of death" as jay states in episode 1 and is also a wink to the Black Flash character on the comics, the flash that appears just the moment before other speedsters die ). I would like to know for example the reason why Jay and Barry loose their powers. At first I thought it was because Zoom nailed his claws on Jays chest. Jay never got his speed force connection back and we've seen that Zoom also nailed Barry with one of his claws and I thought that was the reason why Barry lost his speed ( besides zoom broke Barry's column ), but #beginingspoiler we all saw on the Grodd episode he's managed to get his speed back#endspoiler. Then if we look back we can remember that Zoom injected barry with the dart that Wells designed to stop zoom, with the slowing down formula. So there are two things here: one is, does zoom really have the ability to manipulate time to move? or is he a regular speedster ( jsut a little bit faster than the others ) and second, is he able to "suck" the speed force of the other speedsters or cancel it just as Black Flash does in the comics? Or it was just the dart of wells that cancelled Barry's speed. If anyone can answer to those I would really appreciate, Im going crazy with that all the time.:exp:

There's too much to be answered to:huh:. All this time manipulation thing is really messy. I think zoom shouldn't be able to walk over a wall if he can not run like a speedster because it has to do with speed:wall:. If you try to freeze time somehow and put your foot on a wall you fall inevitably, and he also has the lightning effect on him...:emp: On the other hand when Cisco shot him with the dart, it didn't make any effect on him, that's the only point that supports time manipulation from my point of view. Maybe it's a mix of both, he's a speedster and a time manipulator. But yeah, we will see in the next episodes. This 8th episode really bothers me... I don't like crossovers, specially when it comes to such an interesting point in the story line of zoom. Hopefully we can see a badass episode 9th with Barry, Jay and Zoom.:wow:

Honestly none of us can answer any of your questions yet, this Zoom appears to be completely different from Hunter Zolomon version of the comics and we just don't really know anything about him yet. He does appear to be just a speedster that is faster than Barry though rather than able to control the speed at which he moves forward in time like in the comics. I wouldn't get my hopes up for episode 9 having a big Zoom showdown, it's certainly possible, but we've yet to hear any mention of what the episode entails beyond a showdown with Cold, Weather Wizard, and Trickster.

Yeah you are probably right, I think he's just a speedster, simply faster and stronger than barry. We'll see in a few weeks what happens beyond those showdowns. I'm really excited about the idea that Wells stays in Earth 2, hopefully he can come up with a new formula for Barry to go even further beyond, increasing his speed or something like that :oldrazz:

How do I delete a post???

As far as I know, you can't. What I usually do is just edit the post by cutting out all the text and then replacing it with the word "deleted".

Really getting into this show, in fact I'm liking it so much that Arrow has become an hour long slog that I have to sit through until I can watch the next Flash. God Laurel is stupid.

You know, I kinda wanna see an episode where Barry travels to whichever Earth the Smallville universe is in and meet Superman and Batman. I think it'd be a fun crossover episode.

I still feel Smallville dropped the ball on a lot of things but I've lost a lot of animosity towards that show(but mostly it's fans) over the years so it doesn't really bother me anymore.:oldrazz:

No thanks on any Smallville crossover.

But there are a couple of big Arrowverse rumors at Bleeding Cool today. One involves Constantine being a regular on a potential season two of LOT and the other involves a Flash/Supergirl crossover after a potential Supergirl backorder this May.

I'd be psyched if either one turned out to be true. Hopefully both are. That would pretty much guarantee we'd get a Barry/Constantine scene and a Barry/Kara scene.

Why would they start locking down actors/story for the second season of a show that isn't renewed yet and doesn't even premiere for another 2 months?

The Supergirl thing I'd believe if it weren't from the same source as the Constantine thing.

Legends is expected to do well. I think its renewal is a formality at this point. They moved the Vampire Diaries out of a timeslot it occupied for seven years for Legends and spent almost a dozen episodes each of Flash and Arrow setting it up over the last two seasons.

I think Legends is going to land right between Flash and Arrow in the ratings, and that would make it the #2 show on the network.

It isn't unusual for them to be setting up a second season of a show they are banking on being successful.

Oliver is actually.

God bless you! God bless everyone!

Banking on a renewal: Yes. Most shows do.

Signing on actors a year in advance, 2 months before the premiere? Nope.

Not sure if anyone here knows, but the Flash's score is out. It's great.

How is Jay’s return on The Flash going to affect Caitlin and Harry? — Pang

When Jay Garrick returns, he may actually find some common ground with Wells for once, though it won’t be easy. “Jay is summoned to S.T.A.R. Labs in an urgent matter from Wells,” Teddy Sears tells EW. “Jay shows up only to find out that Wells wants Jay to be his guinea pig. He is toying with a substance that has its history in the lore of The Flash, so it’s something from the comics. He wants to try it on Jay to see if it works because he wants to use this on Barry in their fight to bring down Zoom. Jay doesn’t react very well to that. He doesn’t want to be a part of Wells’ schemes. There will be some life threatening moments in there and we have to use a combination of science and ingenuity and Wells’ mysterious substance to get to a safe conclusion.”

A substance that has appeared in the Flash comics before, I wonder could it be that super speed drug Inertia was using during the brief time Bart Allen was the Flash?

Have you guys seen this?

http://www.amazon.com/Flash-Complet...&qid=1448654918&sr=8-11&keywords=Flash+season

It comes with a Reverse Flash figure. Anyone know how big it is?

Just a guess: 6.75". That's the scale of DC Collectibles Figures these days, so it *might* be made to fit with that line.

I would buy that RF figure separately.

I guarantee that there will be people who buy Season 1 and try to recover some of the stiff price tag by putting the figure on Ebay. It will be interesting to see what it goes for on the secondary market.
