The Flash The Flash General Discussion and Speculation Thread - Part 7

"Earth's only hero" was clearly being used to convey Superman being the only hero in existence on Earth prior to Kara revealing herself, not that Superman was the only hero whose jurisdiction covered the whole Earth.

At any rate, though, it's already been confirmed, via Deadline Hollywood, that the crossover will be relying on the Multiverse concept.

Deadline Hollywood doesn't have the ability to confirm or deny anything, just report or speculate.

However, I've learned from the past that these discussions tend to be pointless and tedious. Thankfully, it'll almost certainly have to be explained in that episode, so the debate will be resolved fairly quickly.

I can deal with the cluster-f*@k it would cause if they acknowledge that Supes-Bats are part of the Arrow-verse even if never seen or been mentioned before.

Yes, they do. Deadline is one of the Hollywood Trades (along with Variety and The Hollywood Reporter), and the only way they do business is by using the connections they've established within the industry to vet the information they post.

If it shows up on Deadline, THR, or Variety's websites, you can pretty much take it to the bank.

sweet every ones all caught up on the flash and super girl crossover. These two shows have a lot in common and it makes the most sense seeing that barry's traveling between realitys/universe.

As far as I'm concerned, we have confirmation of Batman (even if it just mentions Wayne) from the future newspaper in Flash.

I think it will be Earth 1 based, they've mentioned batman on the flash before. Rip Hunter just mentioned superman and Batman on the pilot of legends. On Arrow it makes sense they wouldn't acknowledge supes or batman because there confined to this dying out of the way city and they knew Barry before his accident so that's how they know what's going on in central city.

I'm never expecting superman or batman or even wonder woman to show up on any of these TV shows so if they do these crossovers I'm not looking too deep into why the big heroes aren't showing up.

I dipped out on super girl after episode 4, I might have to get back in.

Call me crazy, but what if the reason the Reverse Flash still exists is because Eddy Thawne is still alive and is in fact Zoom who was somehow stranded on Earth-2 at the end of season 1?

I'm so impressed with the stuff we get in this show.
I love it.

This is pretty much how I feel as well. They could go the multiple earths way if they really wanted to or felt the need to , but ultimately it would basically be for the diehard comics nerds who demand that every character be accounted for if they're in the same universe. The GA who watches both shows would just go with it and not really need some explanation.

They just had a Toyman episode that I thought was one of the better episodes and they
introduced Martian Manhunter.

God bless you! God bless everyone!

Why does Tar Pit have a smiley face?

Was the human identity of Tar Pit encased in that Clayface body, or did he morph into that? It looked from the end like he was just encased in it as a kind of protective armour. I thought he was defeated rather easily though. Could've put up a bit more of a fight at the end before Barry stopped him with that device.

I foresee a Super Speed race reminiscent of Superman meeting The Flash!

I would be surprised if they didn't do it. Same with making a poster about it like they did with Jay.

I'll just be happy if we get one cool showdown between him and a villain, fingers crossed that it marks the beginning of us seeing him in the field more regularly.

Agreed.

If they ever did that it'd be cool to see something like this in a future crossover afterwords

Flash-Rebirth-3-2009.jpg

I would love for a scene like that to happen.

There's a scene in the "Justice" graphic novel where the Flash can't stop running and Superman and Shazam are trying to stop him. In the end, Captain Marvel changes back to Billy Batson so that the lightning clap strikes the Flash and brings him to an abrupt halt.

Would be cool if Supergirl was trying to stop a Flash who couldn't stop running. Don't know how she'd bring him to a halt though, since there's no Shazam here.

I wonder if Flash, Arrow, and Legends have the same budget or that Flash and Legends budgets are a little higher than Arrow's.

I hope so.

I hope it's not some alternate universe crap, but if that's the case, I'll still be cool with it.

Given the fact that Supergirl very clearly does *not* take place on Earth-CW, its going to be an alternate universe, simple as that. If you watch Supergirl, you'd notice the world is radically unlike that of Earth-CW, starting from "Superman has been publicly active for 10 years".

As far as we know.

God bless you! God bless everyone!

Supergirl had Kara explicitly call herself "Earth's second superhero" and "Earth finally has another superhero". As hilariously idiotic an idea as this was, its still the case for Earth-Supergirl.

yeah why the heck was he at argus? what happened to the meta wing at iron heights? is that even being use?

Mostlikely had to do with the branch head at Argus central the shaggy man/ general Ralling. and Diggle and his wife are sent on a mission after him and where does king hark head to ? Joe West's house Dum, Dum Dum.

Joe hate's the meta animal's but they seem to love Joe west.

Eh. It could be easily sidestepped.

God bless you! God bless everyone!

Does anyone know where I can watch episode 9 of this season? For some reason it's available nowhere right now (Hulu, my cable service and the CW site all don't have it). Same with Arrow S4 E9.

Random thought of the moment:

Anyone disappointed that we never got to see a Killer Frost/Firestorm vs Captain Cold/Heatwave battle, or some other combination between the four?

Oh well, I suppose there's always Earth-2. Who knows? Maybe Snart and Rory are heroes in that universe. One can dream, right? :D
