You have to wonder why Zoom chooses to have a lightning emblem like the Flash, both on his chest and his ears. This is something that Earth 1 Cisco designed. Why does Zoom have that too? Did he just copy the design, or is he a future version of Barry or something else?

That poster is so sick. Whoever they hire to make these one-shot posters this season, does a phenomenal job.

I just wish they used Zoom more. He shows up every now and then for a few seconds, and I wanna see more of him. He looks so creepy.

What surprised you the most about tonight's episode of "The Flash"?

"The Flash" Recap: A Great Rescue and a Great Loss
Tonight on "The Flash" the team staged a prison break to rescue Barry and Jesse, and one character suffered a brutal fate at the hands of Zoom.
The man in the iron mask -- while he was seen just briefly at the end of last week's episode, he didn't look like an easter egg character -- he didn't have any symbols on his body or in his cell that would signal who he was underneath the mask. In tonight's episode, he sat in his glass cell tapping out some kind of code. At first Barry through it was a signal, but Jesse, as tired and hurt as she was, thought it was nonsense. When Barry reminded her of her father's words, that the only person in the world smarter than him, was her, hope was restored a bit, and she conceded that perhaps it was a code. Turns out it was a "Tap Code" that P.O.W.s used in World War II. The code spelled out three letters: J-A-Y. When Barry asked if that meant Jay Garrick, he shook his head yes. When Barry tried to comfort the man by telling him that Jay was safe on Earth-1, the man freaked out and rapidly started shaking his head. Was the man asking about Jay Garrick, or was he trying to spell his own name? Is the man in the mask the real Earth-2 Jay Garrick? If Zoom was trying to harness speed from speedsters, it would make sense that he would be collecting different versions of The Flash. If that is Jay Garrick, then who is the man posing as Jay on Earth-1? So far there are two people he could be.

He could be either be Edward Clariss/The Rival, Jay Garrick's comic book adversary from Earth-2 who attempted to recreate Jay's speed through a serum called Velocity 9 -- sound familiar? He could also be the Earth-2 version of Hunter Zolomon. A few episodes back Jay showed Caitlin the Earth-1 version of himself, a man named Hunter Zolomon. In the comics, Zolomon was Wally West's greatest adversary, his Zoom. If this Garrick is really Clariss or Zolomon, what does Jay look like under the mask? Is that actor Teddy Sears, or is it someone else? There have been a few Earth-2 flashbacks that showed Teddy Sears as Earth-2's Flash, so maybe this imposter Jay can change his DNA somehow? The scary thing about the idea of a fake Jay Garrick, is that Caitlin was lied to again by a man that she trusted. First Doctor Wells/Eobard Thawne, and now Jay. She even perfected the Velocity serum for him, thus creating a stable Velocity 9. At the end of the episode, Jay was able to stabilize the speed canon, but as he closed it, Zoom pulled him back through to Earth-2. It actually looked like Zoom killed him, because Zoom's hand was through his chest. But was this all part of Zoom's plan? Send in a fake speedster and get Caitlin to create a chemical speed generator? It all seemed a little too convenient that the second Caitlin perfected Velocity 9, Jay was killed or taken away.

Team Arrow has 4 or 5 people operating out in the field while Team Flash only has 1 out in the field. Team Flash is going to need both Wally and Jesse to help Barry patrol Central City.

as the article I put says which I didn't put in quotes jess for the time being will be too busy trying to get used to earth one and trying to make new friends at school while her dad lives and hides out in star labs. they stated something about wally being the same age as Jessy quick and hitting off with her as friends . they'll be busy with that before we see them helping barry . there is the velocity serum 9 . but it'll be a while before we see them use it.

they also mentioned Cisco starting to discover what he can really do. we might see him helping barry one day instead of being the voice in his ear piece

huh?
Then who would be the "Hunter Zolomon" that Jay showed Caitlin?

Earth 1 Hunter Zolomon. He's saying 'Jay' as we see him is Earth 2 Hunter Zolomon. Jay Garrick has always been in the mask.

Unless the flashbacks are wrong and Harrison Wells is in on it, we know that the real Jay Garrick looks like Teddy Sears. It's possible that the "Jay Garrick" that's been working with Team Flash is the Jay Garrick of Earth 3 and working with Zoom, but I don't think that he is Zoom.

But why would they pull an Earth-3 character out of nowhere like that? I still think the whole Garrick/Zolomon thing is a misdirect and Zoom isn't connected to them.

Not at all looking forward to next week's filler King Shark episode, if I'm being honest. These past two episodes were so great. I wish they could keep this momentum going of the progression of the main story and battle against Zoom.

Totally get what you mean and if it was anyone other than King Shark I'd be agreeing with you, but.......its King Shark we're talking about here. A full episode of King Shark (!). How can that not be a good thing?

Yeah, this seems like another one of those odd-placed episodes.

Like, are we just going to ignore that Zoom possibly killed Jay and that there's no way to get back to Earth two to save him or the man in the mask?

I'm sure they'll talk about in in the episode, but the tone from the trailer just makes it look like they moved on already.

Yep. I f***ing hate filler episodes. But maybe we'll get something in it that will keep the main story going.

I'm confused on why everyone is questioning Iron Mask guy, he's clearly being played by a young african american actor... and The Flash has one as the character Wally West. Seems like a shut case.

Iron Mask guy looked pretty white and blonde to me.

We never saw his hair... look at the wrists, in the show and in photos posted by AV Club... he has darker skin and small wrists. It's totally Lonsdale's wrists.

We got a pretty good look at the back of his neck. He's so not a black guy.
