CAITLIN: My powers are making me evil!
WALLY: (emerges from evil cocoon) Woah! Powers are awesome! No downside here!

:hehe:

We have to keep in context with their past experiences. Caityln's is definitely in the negative. She's been fearing getting these powers ever since she was introduced to Earth 2 Killer Frost. Fear is a powerful motivator and can make people do terrible things that are far out of character.

As to Wally, to him having the Speedforce is liking getting the keys to a brand new hot rod. One that helps him catch criminals. He's young and raring to go.

Caitlin is the character that bottles her emotions, that factors into her abilities more than she knows.

I feel like Wally got them way too easily but it was a cool scene nevertheless.

I think they deleted a scene which would have shed more light to this, but it was either cut because they couldn't fit it in, or because they haven't really decided yet how Killer Frost exactly works. If you look at the beginning of episode 7's trailer, you can see and hear Caitlin talking about Killer Frost. Looking at the clothes she's wearing, this scene happens after Barry brought Caitlin back to her senses and before they tested Wally's new abilities.

The way she is talking about Killer Frost, it appears to be like another personality inside Caitlin. But I just hope in general they'll expand on this. I liked episode 7, now I want to see them give Caitlin more development.
well the thing is emotions being affected and having a split personalty are two different things. I believe what you is possible. but I've seen it when characters emotion are effected by their powers and when they claim they don't feel anything for others any more, that was done with Syler on the show heroes before Ryan Fuller left one of the many times & the writing went down due to his leaving consitly to start other new shows and another character on the show 4400 prior to heroes which was about super powered mutant people and other examples.

this was just more impulse from her along with her fear and not wanting to listen, then it effecting her emotions. so it's more that she doing it to her self, which defeats it all sadly and makes it worse for her self.

Sadly which the split which this caused with the audience. other writer's on other show have pulled this off .
but I don't know why these one's are confused on how to do it approach wise.

but I believe it's possible they cut out something.

I might be in the minority. But, I am not happy Wally is a speedster. Not, that I didn't want it eventually. But, its just too soon.

Yeah same. I'm mostly bothered that Wally's cocoon-related drama was resolved so quickly and that he's not suffering any negative consequences from it. No weird hallucinations?? Voices in his head?? Anything?? I'm hoping his prodigal powers are being super accelerated by Alchemy/Savitar because they have further plans to use him later on.

FLASH Facts: Invasion!

I don't know how I feel about Cisco anymore. He's hitting Felicity territory with all the moping. He was my favorite character next to Caitlin. I hope he eventually moves on and learns how to trust Barry again.

Supergirl is going to think that Cisco is a really depressed and mopey character. First impressions count, and that's going to be her first impression of him.

Don't worry, old Cisco will be back to his old self. Just give him time. Man's gotta work through it.

Seems like in this univers, any member who specializes in the IT/Electronics department become major self righteous and hypocritical individuals whenever someone close to them withholds the truth.

well we also have to remember while Cisco's anger did have the team at odd's with Barry once they found out the truth, the thing is with out knowing it saved them all yeah they left with out their leaders. but imagine what would have happened if all them were mind controlled? and it was just Cisco and Caitlin against them all? especially with joe and iris holding wally back. it would have gotten ugly. it was very twisted plot on the writers. But in a messed up way Cisco saved them all .

They could have had Caitlin mind controlled so that she used her Killer Frost powers. Also, that could then have been the vision Cisco saw, so that she wouldn't have turned evil but just controlled like everyone else, but Cisco wouldn't have known the context before.

yeah the writers didn't think of that cause they were already rushing plots as it was. so it may be for the best.

they didn't think about that and it's a missed opportunity. but they(the writers) are weirdly trying to push it off as a split personality when it's been shown otherwise. and it's hurting them selves with the contradictions to the audience as it was when ever she was explaining that velocity 6-9 worked and didn't work to Barry in season 2. << but she was all over the place with that

and I kept saying woman which is it? was he cured or not? what's with the flip flopping?

I don't know why the writers keep get mixed up with her when it should be that hard to keep her story straight and easy to fallow.

I posted this in the Legends forum. Figured I would post here also...

On Flash Wally is now Kid Flash. While I have no problem with the character per se. I just think its too early to have him on the show. So now we basically have two Flash's. So with Reverse Flash being one of the bad guys on LOT. It would make sense for the Legends to recruit him to help. This way he is not on Flash being a duplicate of Barry and he is on a team that needs a speedster.

Wally needs training and experience. He's impulsive and reckless, even compared to Barry and Jesse in the early stages of their development as speedsters.

The Flash has always been about family in the comics. There are always multiple speedsters surrounding the mainline Flash, both heroes and villains. Jay Garrick (Flash), Barry Allen (Flash), Wally West (Flash/Kid Flash), Bart Allen (Flash/Kid Flash/Impulse), Jesse Quick, Johnny Quick (both the classic era hero and the modern era villain), Trajectory, Professor Zoom (Thawne), Zoom (Zolomon), the Rival, Inertia, Godspeed, Savitar, Fast Track, Black Flash, Max Mercury, the Tornado Twins... I can keep going.

I get that he's pissed but now he's just acting from a place of rage, not hurt. He was visibly hurt in 3x07 but now he just seems to want to fight with Barry and make everyone turn against him. I feel bad for Barry. First impressions count. I'm hoping this begins to go away after the mid-season finale. Isn't next week supposedly the Christmas episode?

Do you guys think that the vision Cisco vibed was really of himself becoming evil and fighting with Killer Frost because he's turned against the team?

Well according to Legends,[BLACKOUT] I think the Cisco/Barry issue has been solved...[/BLACKOUT]

I honestly wouldn't mind Barry turning his back against the team for once since some of them really deserve to experience on what it'd feel like if Barry didn't give a damn about their well beings. But since Barry isn't like that...it'll never happen.

The moment you realize that
Speeder Sidekicks have better and more expensive looking costumes than the show's actual protagonist

Btw, this is how Barry should have responded to Cisco's piss poor behavior throughout the Crossover.lol

That, and they are theoretically potentially faster than he is

Mistakes that directy kill another person should at the very least not be forgotten. Life is precious and it is a tv show but that logic remains in the minds of the characters.

Well I'm not saying that Cisco didn't have a right to be angry at Barry, but the way that he expressed it went way overboard.

If Cisco had any maturity, he would have at least held off his emotional feelings until the Alien Invasion was over. Instead, he constantly kept reminding everyone on how he didn't like Barry anymore and how Barry shouldn't be trusted.

And he had to oust Barry like that in front of the whole group, just so that everyone else could join Cisco on hating Barry. Granted, that actually helped save the crew but it was still a dick move.

Furthermore, there's no way that Barry could have predicted that his time traveling would have had that kind of ramifications. It's not like the speedforce asked him to willingly sacrifice Dante for his parents's life.

And at the start of the season, Cisco was also pissed off because Barry (from the alternate timeline) refused to go back in time and save Dante in the first place.

Like Oliver said, anyone who was in Barry's situation would have done the same thing.

not saying I disagree with you but considering heroes didn't know the domanator's had psionic ability's and in this twisted fluke had both Barry and Oliver stay back while the other went . it saved their lives . it was fluke but it still did.

kara who knew of them didn't tell them cause it looks like she didn't know they had that ability.

and be happy he went through time so see it's not so easy him self. to me all them shouldn't be messing with time at all .
