It's prob 100% accurate. My first stint with the company had us automatically apply those "gameplay guarantees" to each customers game purchase. I however, refused to do that and I was right about it all along as they quickly ceased that practice. I was also right about pushing the preorders excessively. I told my DM that would come back to bite us, sure enough they had the worst year in company history for preorder pickups.

Activision Lawsuit Has Details on Bungie's Next Game (Project Destiny)

The last thing one would expect to learn from the ongoing dispute between Activision and former Infinity Ward employees was the first concrete details on Bungie’s next game, but, well, we have 'em.

Bungie’s agreement with Activision for its next franchise is the latest document to be unsealed in the march towards the trial date for the clash, and reveals some interesting details on “codename Desiny.”

The details come courtesy of the LA Times.

Per the agreement, Destiny would be an Xbox 360 exclusive released in fall 2013, with a sequel arriving on new hardware platforms from Microsoft, Sony, and a version on PC. It specified four games, with sequels coming every other year.

In the contract, Microsoft’s next console is referred to as “Xbox 720” but I wouldn’t read into that very much.

The contract may have also changed--this went into effect in April 2010.

Bungie was also contracted to release four downloadable expansions, codenamed Comet, starting in fall 2014. If Destiny is a persistent online world as rumored, yearly expansions between major retail releases would make sense.

The agreement also makes mention of Bungie developing a reboot of Marathon, the stipulation being that “no more than 5%” of the studio’s staff could be assigned to the project.

Bungie’s contract has been brought into question because of the creative control former Infinity Ward leads Jason West and Vince Zampella gave up per its own agreement with Activision. West and Zampella’s lawyers are arguing the duo should be owed more money for giving up that control.

The case goes to trial on May 29.

Ok, that is crap that the first game is an 360 exclusive. I'm not jumping on with the second game anymore. I've had enough of that with Mass Effect.

Lame, an exclusive that doesn't have system exclusive sequels? That irks me. I know it's just the nature of the business, but it still annoys me. Especially now that my 360 has died for the third time, I don't plan on getting another one.

Good, can they develop a new Eternal Darkness now before their company disappears forever?

I read on a different site that the first game wasn't an exclusive, was just going to be released a year later, to give Bungie time to figure out if they can produce the same quality on the PS3.

I still hate the concept of system exclusive in general
I still want to play RE0 & RE remake on the Playstation

The first game isnt a 360 exclusive, at least not really. Its a timed exclusive with the PS3 version coming the following year

I haven't enjoyed a baseball game in yeeeeears. The Show is a very good baseball sim.. But it's almost too much sim for me.

Great for Sony....not so great for Xbox MLB fans

It's bad for MLB fans in general. The Show has been getting lazy the last few yrs and that will only continue if no one else grabs the MLB license(looking at u madden). I have a feeling EA will jump at the chance to get back into the game. Resurrecting MVP Baseball could be awesome

really? I dont play it but the game seems to be getting just as much praise as usual. '12 got high reviews and fans of it seem to rave about how great an experience it is

It's still a great sports title (IMO 2nd to only NBA 2K)but it starting to slide, it's meta score has gone down since the 2010 title. These last few years the game has released with advertised features either not working, or completely absent. The have also been terribly slow with roster updates and patches. A lot of people claim its been due to the fact that they knew MLB 2K wouldn't be around longer but it's prob due to the outlandish costs associated with the MLB license. If MVP were to come back, the show would only get better

Xbox MLB fans gave up a long time ago, IMO.

I'd love MVP to come back but it probably won't be what it was in 2005. Most of those people who worked on it I think have moved on to other things.

I've never had the attraction to The Show that I did with MVP.

That looks ****ing awesome. I wonder what shenanigans Capcom will pull with this one.

It's a very nice set indeed. Personally wouldn't get it but would not object to more companies doing this sort of thing.
