The Gaming Lounge: Beyond - Part 3

I still wish we got more than Undead Nightmare for RDR. Granted, I assume UDN is great (I've yet to play it) but I'd like another, more "grounded" DLC expansion.

I guess we'll just have to wait until RD3.

Banjo-Kazooie Nuts and Bolts wasn't crap, it was quite an original game... But it was still INCREDIBLY painful. Seeing a Next-Gen Banjo-Kazooie, hearing the familiar BK sounds, dialogue, music, beautiful open worlds just pointed out how BADLY they needed to do Banjo Threeie instead of Nuts and Bolts. The hub world is so frustrating in that game because that's the closest we're ever going to get.

The annoying thing is, the game was still quite charming and funny... It really just was a design choice. I mean, why would they NOT make a proper Banjo Kazooie game? Who's idea was it to go "Hey guys, you know that series the fans love? Let's not do that"

Nice. 2 overrated media producers are teaming up. Kick ass.

Flame on b****es.

So I finally got to and finished the GTA IV expansion packs, and I must say it gave me way more more respect for GTA IV. I love what Rockstar does with it and I must say it's pretty unprecedented.

You're playing with 3 different main characters in their own separate world, and I love how the characters all interact together.

And it also gives me much more respect for the diamonds mission in which all three characters finally come together, and you play that one mission from three different perspectives while also making that single mission even more important because it has a huge effect on the stories of all three characters.

I must say bravo to Rockstar and I hope they attempt this again.
Yeah, that's exactly why I was so behind the idea of multiple protagonists for GTA V, because that's essential what they did if you were to play once all three were released. Of course, there were more improvements made to both the gameplay and graphics for the DLC stuff, but in terms of a story, they all work well together and I'm really hoping they do something similar with the next one.

Yeah, I only played and hour of it and never went back to it. Not because I thought it was bad or anything, but more because I'm just not into zombies or stuff like that. But from what I heard, it is really great, so maybe I'll go back to it one day. I just hate how off I was with everything after going back to play the main game after a year of not playing it.

I'm going to get the newest DLC for Battlefield 3. I like the new guns, the AUG looks sweet.

Playing Mass Effect for the first time (properly)! Absolutely love it. Can't believe I have 3 playthroughs of this and then both of the other games waiting for me!

That game I was trying to remember its name, I kept thinking of a name starting with 'F'

How popular was Dragon's Dogma? Looks like it's getting a sequel.

?

Think I missed something lol.

Anyone playing Gears Of War 3 again ? Started that up recently after about a half a year. Fun times

I really wish MS had released Gears 2-3 on the PC. They hyped up Halo 2 and Gears 1 big when they launched Games for Windows, but then that was it, leaving its sequels off the platform. Yet they still managed to crank out Fable and Fable 3

So... never then?

Yeah, I took that as a clever way to say "never." I know FVII isn't everyone's favorite, but to a vast majority it is. SE, IMHO has been lazy with FF's since 9. They all just seem paint by numbers and not as good as PSOne/SNES games.

The current games are 100 miles from the quality of FFVII & VIII. Not holding out much hope at the moment.

Wow, just checked and it's now only £23.91 on the UK site!

I'm hoping that the Vita one, coming up next, is the 32gb memory card and it has a great price.

This image right here is exactly why I would never want a Final Fantasy VII remake. At least not by today's Square.

Not only does that outline the difference in what Cloud was actually like versus what Square wants him to be like now, but I feel like it also kind of demonstrates the overall shift in tone the entire series has gone through.

Plus, this is what a Final Fantasy VII remake should look like:

Final Fantasy X, XI, and XII were all pretty awesome and not at all like each other or the previous ones.
