PAX Prime is Septemberish right?

August 30 - September 2. Not sure, but I think this is first year it's been four days long.

Great so there will be ****loads of stuff to see and play. Probably nearly everything in development for next gen.

Yeah, that was a big part of why I decided to try and make it this year. Should be some really cool stuff to see and try out. Fingers crossed for a demo of Arkham Origins!!!

You should definitely get that. It comes out so soon after. I was able to play at least some part of nearly every game (RE6 a notable exception..viewable demo only) that was coming out within the next 4 or 5 months of the Eurogamer last year. And PAX Prime is probably a bigger event.

Yeah, I guess Batman's a sure bet. Something Metal Gear 5 related would also be awesome. I've never been to a video game convention before, so I really don't know what to expect. Hopefully demo lines won't be too crazy.

Yeah I'd have a quick walk around the whole place before deciding what you want to try and play and what's worth queuing up for especially if you're going for just one day. The Tomb Raider queue at EG was 1 hour! And as we'd seen the gameplay so many times on so many screens by the time it was our turn it wasn't as fun to actually play it. There were a lot of less popular games like Hitman & Dishonored that we could play for ages without queuing for too long. And if you spend too long on one obviously you might miss on seeing some altogether. Main thing is to see everything in action properly and at least play your favourites/ones you've been anticipating most, then anything else is a bonus. Will be so much to see from PS4 & 720 & even some of the big wii U games should finally make an appearance. I'm thinking of going for 2 full days.

It seems like the game Bethesda has been teasing is Shinji Mikami's "Zwei", and it's going to be revealed tomorrow.

Look forward to tomorrow then. Can't be bothered with being teased but at least it's very soon. :yay:

Capcom Re-Evaluating Games In Development, Cancelling Certain Titles

. April 18, 2013 . 9:00am Capcom have attempted to figure out just what has led to their games not meeting their sales targets, and here’s what they’re doing about it.

Decline in quality due to excessive outsourcing

Ha, are they finally learning something?

Increase in and promotion of DLC (downloadable content)

Paying rather than playing to unlock characters is not appealing DLC!

that wasn't their problem well not with the resident evil series any way. it's was lack of focuse. It lost what was supposed to be game play wise and them adding elements/things from other games that they weren't good at doing and not working on those element more after doing so before it ended up in peoples consoles.

I agree with you there . they don't know what their doing there any more. give resident evil over to platinum games. you can over see the story but don't do the game play any more.

Capcom's pledge to increase their focus on DLC is pretty crazy considering they're one of the worst offenders of that already.

However, it's good to hear that they're also going to focus on raising the quality of their games and doing more in-house stuff, as well as improving the coordination between the different divisions/global regions. That last thing in particular is something that a few other large Japanese devs should take to heart.

I would be very curious to hear what games were cancelled as a result of this. (Probably all Mega Man no doubt.)

So, less out-sourcing, more in-house. I wonder if that means no DmC2 by Ninja Theory anymore.

Yeah I agree that wasn't their main problem. I highlighted that bullet point from them because it was one of the few that was sensible!

Exactly! I would rather watch Resident Evil 6 than play it. I mean I'd enjoy watching it a lot, not using that to bash the game, just can't be bothered to continue playing it at the moment while the gameplay lags behind other top modern titles.

lmao at this pic

Should LEGO games be categorized as RPG?
I count them as RPGs, characters take their roles and switch between them

I think most gamers won't categorize a game as an RPG unless you can level up your character.

It's not an RPG just because it puts you in the roles of multiple characters... That's like calling Gears of War an RPG because you play different characters.

There's no character level-up, taking on a specific character class, or party system. An RPG usually has at least 2 of these.
