I liked it. Didn't finish it, but I didn't think it was terrible.
Man, Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a terrible game.![]()
I didn't think it was terrible.
Thats an incorrect statement either way though
Actually it's a 100% correct statement because it's my opinion.

Nope. The game is terrible. And I feel fine....your opinion is bad and you should feel bad.![]()
t:Oh man, from what it's sounding like you didn't like the boss battles and the like . which they stated and it was put up in the thread for it, that they had to out source that part cause they didn't have the resources to do it them selves so they had some one else do that part. you should have just waited for the directors cut. they made up for all that in the up coming re do of it. And bought that the usual way you like to do. You probably should have done the same with the borderlands series and just skip to 2 as well and not had bothered with the first. since they corrected all the stuff they didn't do right like the single player part with the sequel.Nope. The game is terrible. And I feel fine.t:

I'm sure I'll like the game when I have some proper time to give to it but regardless for those that didn't, the reason (outsourcing) for certain elements not being up to par doesn't really matter. We can only judge by whatever is in the final product, doesn't matter what processes were used to get there. And why should anyone have to wait for a director's cut. Just don't make a game if you haven't got the resources to do it or at least leave out those elements (like boss battles) that you're struggling to include.Oh man, from what it's sounding like you didn't like the boss battles and the like . which they stated and it was put up in the thread for it, that they had to out source that part cause they didn't have the resources to do it them selves so they had some one else do that part. you should have just waited for the directors cut. they made up for all that in the up coming re do of it. when you make a game you have dead line to keep and they were a some what new studio. yeah they could have held it back, but that might have caused them trouble as well. like what went down with alpha protocol and some fools at sega pushing stuff on the dev's cause people wanted them to deliver. they didn't have much chose in the matter seeing they were new compared to others that are older and in a better position to pull that off if they held it back. also of late alot of people these days have a problem saying "no it's not ready" which is why Kojima had trouble with rising and he had to have platinum games take over and it turned to Revengence later and now he still hasn't found any one to take over of that franchise cause every one that works under him is too afraid to speak up so it's ether one thing or another. What did you not like about it? I've only played 30 mins so can't comment.

Amazing collection and a fair number of recent games in there. It's a good strategy & part of the reason it's possible is probably as it ensures people keep paying the PSN fees going forward (unlike last gen) which is a big new revenue stream. For those who would be happy to pay for PSN even without the free games it's too good to be true!Celebrating 1 Year of the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection

Year Two started with Uncharted 3, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, LittleBigPlanet Karting, and Saints Row: The Third.
I don't know exactly how Sony manages to do this, but damn if PS+ hasn't been entirely worth the price.

I don't disagree with all that but a consumer isn't going to research into the history of the developer, how new it was and what strains it was under during the development process when they buy a game. If you put out **** people see **** & not much else, there might be a good reason why it's **** but it's **** all the same & a stain on the reputation of those with their names on it. Colonial Marines & Duke Nukem might have had unfair reasons why the developers couldn't make the product as good as they wanted that have been hushed up. We don't know, all we know is that the games are reputed to be crap & very disappointing. (I'm not saying Deus Ex is in any way **** btw, I expect to like it from the 30 mins I've played. Just don't see outsourcing as an acceptable reason for alleged crap elements in any game).when you make a game you have dead line to keep and they were a some what new studio. yeah they could have held it back, but that might have caused them trouble as well. like what went down with alpha protocol and some fools at sega pushing stuff on the dev's cause people wanted them to deliver. they didn't have much chose in the matter seeing they were new compared to others that are older and in a better position to pull that off if they held it back. also of late alot of people these days have a problem saying "no it's not ready" which is why Kojima had trouble with rising and he had to have platinum games take over and it turned to Revengence later and now he still hasn't found any one to take over of that franchise cause every one that works under him is too afraid to speak up so it's ether one thing or another.
Few people are able to say we'll put it this out when it's ready, or to tell their boss's that some thing isn't working out or to ask for more money and resource's it seems. All out of pure fear of keeping their jobs.

Fair enough. Yeah, nearly everyone else I've heard from has said they liked this game. Most people have a game or 2 they don't like that the majority loves though. There's aspects of certain popular stealth games like the Arkhams & Assassin's Creeds that I don't like. The overall games are amazing but there's some parts in isolation that I think are not enjoyable & just a waste of time! When I say it's terrible I'm only speaking on my behalf. I can't fault people who enjoy the game. But for me the gameplay mechanics are awful. It's doesn't know if it wants to be a stealth game or a shooter and it doesn't really succeed at either. And no matter how many times I try to give it another chance, it fails to grab me. And yes, the boss battles are just awful.
yeah I try to keep away from Duke nukum and Colonial marines for a reason , that latter game of which alot of stuff hasn't been fully made clear on what happened and duke nukem was that they just made sure it was finished. but left all the stuff the former dev's put and they(the dev's prior) were trying to fit in too much with that ip.I don't disagree with all that but a consumer isn't going to research into the history of the developer, how new it was and what strains it was under during the development process when they buy a game. Yeah, I think most gamers appreciate devs who are honest about this kind of thing. I need to check what version I have. Maybe I should trade in if I don't have the director's cut. Is it just the boss battles that are different or other stuff too?yeah I try to keep away from Duke nukum and Colonal marines for a reason that latter of which alot of stuff hasn't been fullly made clear on that happens and duke nukem was that they just made sure it was finished but left all the stuff the former dev's put and thay were trying to fit in too much with that. so no I'm staying clear from that one and this isn't the same company when talking about Deus Ex: HR the head dev was straight up and told the press what the deal was with that and when you make a mistake all you can do is make up for it by doing better.
that's what they are doing with the directors cut it seems.
I said it in another thread but this is one fantastic deal. Year 2 started off with a bang so I can't wait to see how it continues on the PS4. I just wonder when the free ps+ games will kick in since it will be on a new console. Also I wonder how much the PS4 monthly game lineup will differ from the PS3 lineup.
Ok thanks, will check it out. They said they added alot of new stuff into the directors cut and redid every thing. all the details are up in the threads of deus Ex both the Multi and Nintendo part of the forums .
They kick in immediately. DriveClub PS+ Edition is going to be available at Launch. Obviously it's not the full experience (otherwise why would anyone buy the actual game at launch) but it's a start. It sounds like it'll have less cars, etc.., than the full game.
They said it will be a new game each month, which I'm sure will be the standard (probably for the first year) until the backlog to choose from builds up with PS4 games.
