Jason Holtman, a Valve veteran that helped shape the company’s Steam service for a number of years, has joined Microsoft.

Damn, I really hope he can sort it out. GFWL has been a complete failure & I think is now officially dead. If pc gaming (& party chat) was integrated with my XBox account I'd be using my pc for possibly the majority of my single player gaming.

Dead Rising is one of those games you can hate and love at the same time. You can hate it due to very strict and unforgiving time limits and idiotic ai (that's being nice about it) but you can love it to bits due to the fact that you can beat a zombies head in with a flat screen tv while wearing a floral dress or a banana hammock.

It's a cool move for Euro X1 buyers, but it seems strange to me. Like, why would they need to throw in a free game for the people who already preordered. I guess their preorder numbers over there weren't good enough? I guess it's also a play at trying to get a larger Euro market, though a PS4 and a copy of Fifa are still cheaper than an X1.

Power of the consumer, I guess. American should have kept up the low preorders too so they could bribe us with a free game.

Agreed but if this is a bribe, surely setting the super low price of $400 for a PS4 itself was a similar tactic (when everyone knows they would have got away with more). Reducing price or including more features for the same price seem like same ballpark tactics to me.

I can't stand the Dead Rising games.. Timers suck.

Timers aside, most of it is dull

No damn kidding. I played the og DR and hated it so i passed on DR2 and now that its free on Live i gave it a DL, wow that series is garbage. I cant find one redeeming quality about it. I guess punching zombies with boxing gloves is, neat? IDK, i dont get it.

Combining stuff to make new weapons can be fun, but the weapons dying pretty fast get on my nerves and really annoy me

Dead Rising is one of my favorite series. I haven't been following the DR3 news much, but I know I'll definitely be getting it sometime. And the timers in DR2 are so generous that you'd have to be trying to fail if you can't get what you need to do done.

Yeah, I assume the more expensive one is for the PS2, I just copy/pasted the list from the blog. It does suck that the only version of Bully on PSN is the PS2 classic, the 360 update was really good. They listed it as a PS3 game on the blog which is wrong. I'm going to fix the list.
