The Gaming Lounge: Beyond - Part 6

First I thought you said a Final Fantasy MMO & I thought wow that would be bloody weird. But exploring a classic fantasy world would be amazing. Might work well with Kinect/Move technology also.

Man, I didn't even think of that. Would be great if you could use a sword and shield, bow or staff with your move.

I don't know if I'd want an MMO though..you like the interacting with real people using the Rift aspect?

Well, I care more about the co-op aspect a MMO would offer. Delving into a dungeon with friends, with the classic warrior, rogue, wizard formation would be awesome. Maybe the Elders Scroll MMO will work with the Oculus Rift.

I actually think it would feel wrong to have a game controller in your hand when you're supposed to be physically in the environment of the game. This really could be an unbelievable step into the future if they get it right. And gamers will also be in a lot better shape if it happens. :woot:

I've never even played an MMO but that does sound great being able to co-op through a mission with a strategy where everyone plays an important role.

France or Russia would both be very interesting. Some Ubisoft guys did a list of potential future AC settings (about 8 or 9) a year or so ago & I was thinking I want to see all of those! I'll happily see a few (maybe 3) games in the exotic Edward Kenway universe but otherwise I need new settings to keep up the interest, particuarly if they go annual.
I haven't played AC3 (and probably never will, lost interest in ACR quickly) but Connor seemed like a completely forgettable character, I have low expectations for AC4 as well as no real interest in playing it. I want the games back in richer settings with bigger cities.

Good response

I think I get caught up in the atmosphere of games when I'm having a good enough time that I can forgive and overlook a lot of other issues. I can see your point in every one of the things you mention and they would probably piss me off in a lesser game. As it happens I was having such a good time that they didn't detract from it at all. Would you have any interest in an Uncharted 4 then given that you like 1 & 2?

I would definitely play Uncharted 4, but I wouldn't go into it with the same enthusiasm that I had for Uncharted 3.

Uncharted 3 was not that big of a muck up. And as I said early there is the chance of Sony handing the ip over to another studio.

Connor as a character was probably the best thing about AC3

The PS3 Had 12 Games At Launch. Here's What They Looked Like.

Man, we've come a long way. Just look at this screen of Resistance 1.

Now we have the freaking 'The Last of Us', which looks absolutely mind blowing.

Sport games have a dustier look to them compared to the rest
It's upsetting to see how Ultimate Alliance looks (maybe even plays) better than Marvel Heroes

MUA does not look better than MH. MuA's visuals were outdated when it came out. MH visually looks much better than it.

I'm sending you a pm I'll help you level up. but to tell you the truth the only MH and ultimate Alliance have in common is that you play as the heroes . they made it clear this has more elements of Diablo then Ultimate alliance.

Thanks for the offer :)
Wonder if Iron Man can fly with some upgrades

I plugged in the old PS2 today, and nothing happened. Guess it finally died. :csad:

Ok so i might be buying the PS 3 afterall...

As of now, there are two titels that really interest me. The last of us and beyond two souls.

Sweet chose's and they both have "Ellen page" to a degree. lol. The last of us is awesome and I can't wait for beyond two souls.

Yeah...the PS 3 is now pretty cheap over here. Plus i can get about 25% off becuase of my job.

Kinda funny since ever since i sold my XBOX 360, i figured my console gaming days are over. But after seeing the trailer for both games...

And i figured i'd better wait a few months after they released the PS4.Safer that way i'd figure since if there are problems with the system upon initial release, they'd be patched up after a few months.

So I played Castlevania: Lords of Shadows for the first time on PS3. I've played several hours it feels but I'm still only at the beginning of chapter 3. I don't know how many are left.

Anyway, might be one of the most irritating games I've ever played. I thought this should be a great hack 'n' slash game but wow am I wrong.

The combat leaves much to ask for. The graphics are unimpressive. The sound/music is some of the worst I've experienced in a PS3 game ever. The characters are lame. The story is boring. The loading time is long. The platforming is mediocre.

Overall, it's a snooze fest. Much due to the horrible sound and the monotonic gameplay. And I've heard some pretty good stuff about this game before. Ugh!

I haven't played it, but I've heard it gets better the further you get into it.

I hated that game. Only at Chapter 3? Good luck. It was too damn long and dragged on. It had pacing issues and whenever I felt like it was about to be done it kept going. Didnt really have a whole lot of fun with it either

Maybe that's the case. But I'm not sure I want to play it anymore. Every time I play it it feels like I have to force myself to it. It drains out energy of me, makes me feel drowzy.

I thought about buying it before, but this copy I borrowed from a friend luckily (thank you Sony for letting me do that in the future as well). It feels great that I didn't buy it! And now I know I'll stay away from the sequel too.

Glad to see I'm not the only one. The pacing is definitely some of the worst I've experienced in a game. It's so boring and slow that I find myself breathing with difficulty like through a straw (yeah I don't know if I'm the only one getting this body reaction when something is incredibly slow and boring).

The latest boss fight so far however was pretty great. That's about it!

I was like "Hey Patrick Stewart is the storytelling voice, that's cool!" until I heard him talk and talk and talk...with no end. He talked so slow as well, I wanted to punch the TV.

The protagonist speaks very seldom. Also while playing, he almost never grunts or anything (compare with God of War for example), and there's barely any music at all. The game is silent all the time except for sound effects. I know I can change the sound in the menue somewhere but the little music that's there is horrible.

Man, Marvel Heroes got damaged and stopped downloading, and nearly 8GB completed download :csad:
I don't feel like downloading the game anytime soon
