I hate hearing voices come out from my speakers. I prefer that in an earpiece

Yeah.. I don't want things my friends say coming through my surround sound speakers....

Need some advice! I just platinumed The Last of Us and looking to move onto a new game this weekend. I was thinking of Bioshock Infinite but decided Id rather try an older game from last year instead. Which should I try?

Hitman Absolution
Dishonored
Spec Ops the Line
Resident Evil 6
Deus Ex (even though that's a little bit older)

Pretty much looking for something that's quick and fun and wont take up a lot of my time.

Id say Spec Ops is your best bet. Hitman is a 20 plus hour game, even longer if ya go at it stealth style, Dishonored is about the same, Spec Ops seems to be your best bet as its fairly short and from what i hear has a really cool story, RE6 is atrocious and again like the others mentioned, Deus Ex while an incredible game, is a little slower paced(assuming you go stealth route).

Honestly ya cant go wrong with any on the list, other than RE6. All are stand out, top notch games. If you are in the mood for pure stealth, i say go with Hitman and play it in the Purist mode. Easily the purist stealth game this gen when played in that mode.

just downloaded this month's free game on XBL.. Crackdown. I forgot how fun this game was.. for a game launched in 2007..It still holds its playability.

Dishonored can be pretty quick depending upon how you play. Personally, I was a little disappointed by it because there aren't a lot of powers you can use if you're going for a very stealthy playthrough (few kills, undetected). Still a good game. Don't know about the others.

So playing as a Renegade in ME3 is tough. The first two games are pretty cool when you are a Renegade, but I just had to watch Samara shoot herself and then I murdered her daughter. That is cold blooded.

Haha yea i never could get through those games as anything other than a paragon.

I prefer Paragon too, with the occasional renegade choice for extra badass points. :funny:

I feel like Paragon gives you less choice also. Like when choosing if someone dies or not. If you're renegade, they die (either by yours or another, you guys know which one I'm talking about) either way most of time. If you're Paragon, at you get a choice to keep them from dying.

I'm always paragon with occasional choices that make sense.. Or just look bad ass. Like when that *****e bag Krogan in ME2 that goes on a d on about how clan will rule the Galaxy.. to shut him up and be a bad ass I think it makes sense to shoot the gas line under him. Also, KotOR 3 was in development at Obsidian. Hopefully we see it someday. http://m.joystiq.com/2013/08/01/kni...obsidian/?post=1&icid=joystiq_home_latest_art

Even if graphics one day reach a virtual peak on Uncharted style games, open world games like Elder Scrolls can gradually catch up until they have Uncharted level graphics within every tomb & dungeon. Will be amazing actually.

oh I agree. I may be alone but I don't want life like graphics. I still want to be able to tell I'm playing a game... Uncharted is a beautiful series.. but... We can still tell it's a game. I don't ever want the thugs in Uncharted to look like real living people... That would be weird.

I know what you mean. I don't mind fantasy & sci-fi stuff looking realistic as it doesn't actually exist but if you make Uncharted guys look too real they will seem boring like real people haha. I want that video game style to remain. I didn't like that 1st Quantum break footage at the original XB1 press event which showed real looking people for the same reason. It takes something away from their fantasy potential & yeah, just looks a bit weird.

I'm sure the guys at Naughty Dog know much better than me but I still believe the graphical peak is a long way away even though there will be diminishing marginal improvement. If you look far enough into the future 8k Ultra HD with 16 times the resolution of HD will one day be the standard for games and even if nothing else is improved, games will look hell of a lot better just for that. A film like Avatar looks great but you can see how future tech could make even that look a lot better and there's no reason why real time open world gaming won't look as good as exploring a rainforest in that world one day. It's just a question of when the tech becomes cheap enough to mass produce and package in a $60 game for a $400 console.

I don't know what is wrong with [PROTOTYPE 2] statistics system, I completed the whole campaign, got almost all bonuses (failed with the not getting hurt by a Goliath), completed all blacknet missions, finished all lairs and field missions, found every black box, and fully upgraded Heller
And it says I completed the game 80%?!
The DLC and online missions are like 20%?

Can't tell about consuming much time, but Hitman Absolution is probably the one I should recommend of those you listed
Resident Evil 6 will consume your time with anger and frustration, I enjoyed it more than some people here, but it's not worth your time or money

I actually decided I will start Spec Ops today. It was the one I was least looking forward to as it just looks like a generic modern day TPS. Looks like the third person version of CoD. BUT Ive always read great things about its story so Im willing to give it a chance on that alone. Its been sitting on my PS3 via Plus for months now so I'll play through it and free up that space when Im done

Yea iv thought the same thing, but everyone says how cool the story is. I still need to play that one.

It's the one game out there that finally addresses the fact that you're killing all these people. Gets into the psyche of the main character. The story is the reason to play, the gameplay is good but theres nothing new to it.

I finally got Fallout New Vegas on my PC. Mods. Mods everywhere!
