Red took the ball from Link's hand.
"Uh...thank you." Red couldn't understand why any self-respecting trainer would just give away one of his Pokemon, but then again, Red had seen bad trainers before. It hadn't been that long ago that Red had single handedly taken down Team Rocket, a terrorist group who used Pokemon for their own evil doings.
Red turned back to Fox, remembering their confrontation. He then turned back to Link.
"Listen, I think something's going on around here. Something big. None of us seem to be from around here, and all of a sudden we're all thrown together. Doesn't that seem strange to you?" He turned to Fox.
"You never answered my question. Who are you?"
Fox sighed.
"I'm a hired hand and part time military official for an...out of town United conglomerate."
Red looked at him with a confused look.
"I'm from Corneria."
"Where's that?"
"Far away from here, Kid."
Red shook his head.
"You know what, whatever. We're all in the middle of this and I think that we might be able to find our answers in the same place."
Suddenly, sirens were heard as several police cars sped by in the streets below, followed by a loud explosion.
"What in the world-" Red ran to the edge of the rooftop and looked down below.
"Link. Fox. I think we might need to do something about this."
