The "Get Violent" Video Game RPG OOC/Sign up Thread

It's dead, Jinn....

god, I've wait so long to say that....

Well I'm eyeing up Master Chief, so if this thing kicks back into gear, I'll join back up.

Well I'm hoping I'll get some post up this week. Haven't had much time on my hands lately.

Everyone really needs to start posting, because so far only me and Obi-John are making posts to move things along.

BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP.

It's dead, Jim.

QFT.

Yeah. Too bad. When did it start dying cause it was kicking strongly for a while.

Did you have to answer my question with another question?
It died when the more respected RPers decided to leave. *looks at Murdock, EBJ, Byrd, Marko and Syn*

But I am trying to think of ways to revive it, either by zombifying it or creating a new RPG with a new concept with video game charcters.

Don't blame us. A good RPG can survive without my or my comrades amazing talents.

Blacklight, we left way before this game started dying. I had two, maybe three, IC posts before I left, and it was because the game isn't a very interesting concept. Why would I want to play a text-based game when I can play a virtual 3D one just as easily. The concept doesn't add up.

Zombifying the game will drive even more people away, and starting a new concept? What new concept would that be?

"The Videogame RPG 2.0... now in glorious TechniColor!"

When the game started, it was at ground zero. No continuity, no relationships, no nothing. Perhaps the only thing you could do would be to establish some interaction before the game starts by having the characters set in their own world interacting with each other. That's clearly got to be one of the stupidest ideas I've ever heard. In what possible reality would make a game full of living undead, and mucking up continuity, make it more desirable? The game itself had some momentum at first, but it promptly lost it. Restarting continuity will not draw any fresh faces in, or even any old ones. Had MB not given up so easily, I'm assured that the redux of DOM would have had a shot, but this simply doesn't have the emotional attachment to the possible characters one could play as as the Marvel Universe. I don't have the same emotional attachment to Master Chief as I do to Daredevil, especially since this is a superhero forum. Perhaps in a gaming message board you wouldn't even need to consider giving this another shot, but in this setting it just isn't going to work.

Don't put the onus of the game failing on EBJ, Syn, Marko, or me. It failed when it resorted to you as it's AGM. You came up with concept after concept in the discussion thread, resorting to a Ben10 idea, and you were finally given a GM position in this game in the hopes that you'd be able to save it. You didn't. When the movie game died, I at least had the gumption to own up to it. This game has been limping forward since I was playing it. Now, it's clearly dead and revamping the concept or making it full of zombies won't change that.

So your saying that I basically sucked as a GM? That's nice to know.

I'm not "basically" saying anything. I'm just flat-out saying it. This game was done for when you got put in the driver's seat.
Well excuse me for not having the, oh how should I put it, experience that you and almost every other player except me has, because you know, when a dying RPG asked me, and me alone because of all the good suggestions I gave to Jinn that I learned from watching the rest of you with your GMships, to be an AGM, I wasn't going to jump at the chance to finally use what knowledge I have learned from observing the rest of you in your respective games, and finally prove myself.:whatever: But whatever.... I guess it's my fault. All the blame falls in my lap, and not the players who didn't post... After all, I'm no Matt Murdock when it comes to GMing...

or RP-ing, for that matter.
