Where I’m at right now…

Superman - Unknown
Lois Lane - Olivia Cooke
Lex Luthor - Gustaf Skarsgard
Perry White - Bob Odenkirk
Jimmy Olsen - Justice Smith
Adding in:

Jonathan Kent - Will Patton
Filling out a bit of the Daily Planet bullpen…

Steve Lombard - Anders Holm
Ron Troupe - Malcolm Barrett

With Troupe as the straight man to Lombard’s comic relief.
Gonna throw the extended Lane family into the mix…

General Sam Lane - Gary Sinise
Lucy Lane - Ella Purnell

Dr. Emil Hamilton - Alan Ruck

For Lois Lane... either Zoe Kazan

It's only logical they are older when superman is in metropolis.
If he is mid to late 20s, they should be in their late 50s to late 60s.
I say no younger than mid 40s, but even that would be pushing it.

Unless the kents are old souls, wisdom comes with age

Bill Skarsgard as Superman is a big no for me but I could definitely see him as Lex or Metallo.

Clark Kent/Kal El/Superman- David Corenswet
Jor El- Daniel Craig
Lara Lor-van- Lena Headey
Jonathan Kent- Kurt Russell
Martha Kent- Laura Dern
General Zod- Nikolaj Coster Waldau
Jimmy Olsen- Justice Smith
Perry White- John Goodman
Lois Lane- Zoey Deutch
Faora-Ul- Gina Carano
Dr Emil Hamilton- Giancarlo Esposito
Lex Luthor- James McAvoy

Colonel Hardy I would go with Jon Hamm but if you use General Swanwick/Martian Manhunter again then I would go with Chiwetel Ejiofor

I would rather see Lois's dad if we need a military leader/general type character.
Since we all agree General Lane is the poor man's Thunderbolt Ross, we must cast the antithesis to Han Solo... So either Mark Hamill or William Shatner.

I remember there was a point leading up to Ayer’s Suicide Squad when there were rumors that Sam Lane could be involved in that film and someone suggested Gary Sinise for it.

Haven't been able to get that one out of my mind. And honestly, it’s probably more believable that he’d be playing the father of a 20/30-something than someone Amy Adams’s age.

That's a genuine Hey It's That Guy casting choice.

**** it. I’m subbing in Luke Kleintank for Superman until further notice.

Not entirely against this casting but I do feel some of the younger ones may be a bit too old by the time this thing starts filming, not that really matters in this game of "casting agent"

Just look at them twenty-somethings.

Maybe, but I’m kind of following the model of Matt Reeves where “young Superman” is concerned.

For as much as was made about The Batman being so young, Rob was 33 when he was cast and nearly 36 when the movie finally premiered.

To me, I think it’s less about casting as young as possible and more just that they’re younger than the last guy, and Cavill has seven years on Kleintank.

Fair point.

Slightly off topic but what year do we realistically think we will have this film on screen? I'm almost thinking in 4-5 years.
