Do people think Gunn will have a major role in casting this film, or will he have the director and casting directors do most, if not all of the work?

I do wonder what his role is casting may be, how much or little influence he might/will have. If not, then the director should become the major player, though then the question is, if they are that powerful, how does that effect any DCU crossover event. Especially if they are not involved in anything but the Superman movies.

I for one just do not know, wondering what others think.

If he is basically the Kevin Feige of the DC movies now, then I suspect he will have a major hand in casting of all the movies, regardless of whether he directs them or not. Too much is at stake for him not to be involved.

I'd like to see this superman be around 25.
He has already faced lex a few times and some of his creations, ie, parasite, metallo etc, with out much trouble.
But In this Brainiac, arrives and superman thinks he can handle him as easily as he did the others.
He would actually lose in their first encounter.

Are people assuming this is an open casting call(if that is the proper term), but they may still have certain actors in mind? I do wonder if agents are calling or trying to get their actors looked at.

I am not quite certain how the process works, but I thought with Cavill and MOS, it was quick from start to his casting in January of '12 if I remember correctly.

The villains are trickier for me to cast but I’d like to see Nicolas Cage involved somehow. I think he could mesh with Gunn, and obviously he loves the character/lore.

Admittedly, I’m leaning towards either Brainiac or Mongul (mocap). Are those crazy?
