I honestly hate the idea of Miles Teller as superman, it would be a complete vibe killer for the whole movie as far as I'm concerned. I would never get past the fact that I'm looking at Miles Teller.

Amen. Miles Teller embodies NONE of the qualities I want to see in Superman.

Personally my pick and it will get hate but bring it on! Is KJ Apa, and don't start with the he comes from a bad tv show. So did Heath Ledger, Chris Hemsworth, Margot Robbie.

I put this together a long time ago and just in case people think I am crazy, yes that is Emile Hirsch at the first parts of young Clark but that was just for the footage, later I go into using Kj Apa. Regardless of who the actor is, its the kind of fun I see Clark having in this video that I would love to see in a Supes film.

Love this idea. Though personally I’d ignore Routh’s role in the DC TV shows and just have a straight up traditional Superman.

I’m always liked the idea of gender-swapping Brainiac and have been gravitating towards Lashana Lynch as my pick for the role lately,

We’ve seen her hold her own in quite a few action-oriented roles, and she had the dramatic chops too—I could see her kicking Superman’s *** and then dressing him down in a classic villain monologue lol.

Jimmy Smits has been one of my top picks for Perry White for ages as well, though.

Thanks I'm working on the rest, it is actually really difficult to put together solid names and faces that I really believe could pull it off. I also looked at Tom Hanks for Pa Kent and it could easily work too, but I kind of like Cranston here in a limited role. My idea would be that Jonathan dies in final act of the movie, while Clark is away during his final battle against his first true threat. I'd drop little hints throughout that could be interpreted as him getting older when really his heart is failing and he passes before he really get to old age.

Not just on Earth but everywhere.
Every hero and supervillain tries to stop him but fail.
Not even Superman can stop him alone, so Dr Fate sends him off to alternate Earths to find other supermen to help?

Deadline reports the buzz going around is that Henry Cavill will announce a return as Superman this Saturday from comic con.

I Know it's been said before but after finally watching the first few EPs of Reacher I can totally see Alan Ritchson doing the job in a more pulpy type film. He has far more charm in the first episode than Cavil did in MOS and has an authentic farm boy feel to him.

Gotta make peace with the fact that if they do make a movie anytime soon, it'll likely be with Cavill. He's not universally loved in the role, but he does have a fandom, and it's more than they'll have if they go back to the drawing board with the young unknown all over again. It's also gonna placate most of the Snyderverse hardliners. I guess it depends on how much potential they see in the property. I think if they really trusted it, they'd reboot fully, but that's me.

Cavill's been passionate and faithful to the role, you gotta give him that. He's become a better actor, too.

I'm not crazy about it either, given that his Superman is far from beloved with the GA, even though there's a segment of fandom which really wants him back.

A reboot would really be better in so many different ways imo, and I've yet to see an argument that's persuaded me otherwise.

But, If he does return, and they plan continuing that version of Superman in solo films, all I can do is wish him luck .
