I think GL has a good shot at being in the sequel but missing out on a credit scene here due to perceptions of his previous outing with the GA and the fact he has no other history with much of the GA. You could still for e.g. tease a new Batman after B&R as the audience had had a good experience with him in the past and you could also tease totally new characters, but I don't think GL would go down as well with non-fans right now. Better to just give him full redemption in JL sequels and GL Corps films. I'm really looking forward to those.

By excluding the character from the first ever JL movie they made him look second class and that's all there is to it. No alleged cameo, post-credits scene or potential appearance in a sequel would change that. People always give all sorts of reasons for his exclusion, from the 2011 movie to the nature of the character, to his power set, to the movie being stuffed with too many characters already, none of that would've mattered if they thought more of the GL character and had decided to just try to do better with him this time, despite destroying his public image with their previous effort. No, they went down the predictable road by chickening out. I don't hold that against WB anymore and I like how the JL movie looks like, I just don't agree with the notion that potential future appearances would make up for the fact that he isn't there as an integral JL member from the start like he should've been.

Indeed it would, but Hal won't be in Justice League so I doubt he would ever be associated with the team in the DCEU.

I know he is part of those big 7 introductions at the start of the intro, but that doesn't say much when he is next seen in the background during the huge group shot.

I admire your positivity, K, but this company has treated Hal Jordan like trash before and they don't seem to think more of him nowadays. Johns was probably the one who insisted to put him in those seven shots.

I have nothing but love for the DC universe, it's that most of the people who run their movie division don't have a lot of love for some of my favorite characters. And how can Hal possibly be compared to Diana. She is the biggest female hero in the world, while he was turned into the laughing stock of the DCU.
