The mask should be physical too, and enhanced with CGI with the suit to give it that otherworldly glow.

I wasn't saying the mask should be CGI - I agree that should be physical as well. I was just saying that was the only part of the costume that I didn't care for on the design front. Its shape and the way it looked on Reynolds' face was just kind of awkward to me at times.

One solution could be to make the domino mask of dark Green shade than the rest of the costume.

The domino mask could work but I imagine the ring (as one of the DCU's most powerful artifacts) would do a far better job at designing one's identity. It's an alien relic for Christ's sake. What's stopping the Green Lantern from employing an organic mask/helmet (Spawn, Guyver)?

GL was on HBO man move is still awful lol i really dont like rayn as hal because he does'nt feel like hal but he feels like reynold's playing reynolds

it may also be due to how the script and direction pointed him towards

I doubt it. The Man of Steel boards had a meltdown when the undies were confirmed gone.

A full mask might polarize the fan community but the domino mask is not popular nowadays either. I mean, Catwoman's domino mask was particularly well-designed but half the fanbase didn't appreciate it.

Guess what? The decision isn't up to you. If the director feels that the domino mask doesn't fit his or her vision, then say bye-bye to the domino mask. For instance, Chris Nolan didn't give Bane a leotard and luchador mask for TDKR.

Liberties are always taken when arriving to adaptations.

You think I don't know that? Green Lantern is a classic hero who has had almost the same exact costume since his creation in the sixties. Bane has been around for about 22 years and his classic interpretation would look silly on screen. Apples and oranges.

The closest they should get to a mask is Kyle Rayners original "thing" from the 90s.
