OK, then I don't know why everyone keeps commenting on pictures like it shows something new.

Although I will say one reason that last scene felt underwhelming was the lighting. I see making the suit a very dark red, but it came off as purple in the light. I think they'll need to do some more screentests to make sure that doesn't happen again.

Agree with this. The movie did the same thing. They made a red suit but the lighting turned it purple (Fox was also afraid it looked too red).

I'm pretty much ok with it. Just needs to show that it's actually red and keep it lit that way.

Yeah I don't know. Myself though wanted to comment on the belt just cuz it's so apparent in that particaular photo.

And yes I agree on the suit looking purple.

I really feel like Hollywood Superhero film costume designers need a 10 year ban on using the color Burgundy in place of Red. They started this crap with Superman Returns, and they keep pushing it. Red is supposed to be a vibrant color, when you mute it it get's purple-ish and looks kind of dumb.

Man of Steel actually used a beautifully red fabric that should be used for most red costumes, but the film color filter dulled it so horribly.

what?
:lmao:

Then again, I can see the logic of why a character who uses darkness to his advantage might prefer a costume other than bright red.

Red doesn't have to be bright...Its not one of the approved colors used for motorcycle jackets that have to be bright at night, for instance. I'm not too sure how visible the baseline is at night versus other colors. The best I can track down immediately is that the human eye is comfy with it in the dark, so it doesn't disrupt your night vision. Its why subtle nightlights or night flashlights often come with red lenses.

The color itself is associated with extreme activity and is bad for wall colors in the bedroom--for some reason cool colors are best there.

The human mind is apparently programmed to think red fruits are tasty, which is why red is far and away the most popular color for candy/popsicles, etc.

Not overly fond of the red suit, but I think it would look much better with the nose bit.

This might have been a good compromise between the black outfit and the Red suit

This color scheme would have been perfect.

I couldn't tell if his suit was different or if he was just in red lighting or both

No, they shot with filters, because that gave the suit the purple color in that ally fight. I hated the yellow lighting last season, it gave me The Crow: City of Angels flashbacks.

I just don't understand why they don't make the suit identical to the black one, but in the darkest blood red they can find.

"Oh but then it'll look black in the dark." PERFECT!

Sew DD on the chest and you've got the best Daredevil costume possible.

I just really want a mask that looks like daredevil from the comics / not silly.

A darker red would have done fine if realism has to be considered. The final suit looks terrible aesthetically though.

Eh, to each there own. From a realistic point of view the costume looks safe. Armored for protection. Like a REAL life hero costume should be,

I don't really care that much about the realism aspect as superheroes are not real to begin with.

To each his own. To me the suit makes his lower body look oddly long. I am also not a fan of the triangular design around his eyes. I'd also prefur a simpler less textured pattern on the torso and legs.
