Daredevil The Inevitable Costume Thread - Part 1

The concept art costume while being almost identical to what was actually realised was definitely more form fitting; in all areas. Not a major gripe for me though.

If I did have a gripe [and its a minor one] I'd say that the cut of the mask under the chin looks a bit off to me.

I believe they said the nose area wasn't open because it literally showed you that it was Charlie Cox underneath the suit and he was instantly recognizable.

Yeah, i think they should improve the neck area and add a chin strap like the armor suit has in the comics.

Yeah. They said that it not only killed suspension of disbelief, but it made work with stunt doubles more difficult.

He has a pretty fat nose. The rose glasses take away from it, but you can definitely notice it when he doesn't have those on.

Looks like the same outfit so far. Much easier to see in the light, though (and, without that street light that made it look purple). I still think even the same suit all red would look better.

The cowl looks too much like a helmet. And the suit looks just too stiff. Why can't they find something more form fitting and just say that it is armour, instead of needing it to look stiff to resemble armour? The front looks too busy as well. And I prefer it all in red instead of those black bits. I still think the Affleck suit looked better.

Because people aren't stupid and would be able to tell that it ISN'T armor.

And they don't give it an actual cowl because cowls never look good in live action. Real fabric is never form fitting enough and flexible enough, you either end up with something too loose or an actor who can't turn his head.

There's something about it that looks a little off to me. I'm not in love with it. I think there's just too much black on there.

The cowl looks improved but I don't believe that is Cox wearing the suit there though, is it? He's gotta distinct face/head shape which didn't seem to match the cowl he had last season.

There's a new promo image that uses the same suit. I do hope for some changes through the season. Maybe Foggy can help with that.

Yeah the suit in the box in the new promo pic looks identical to that pic above^

although darker and more textured when it's not on a washed out tv

i dunno, I like it, it's not as all-red as the purist in me would want, but I think in action itll look great

Fit and sculpt of the cowl is a big improvement. The suit looks all around tighter too, which was my biggest issue.
