That is very different from saying Mandarin was weak. But it is something one might say about a terrorist who blows **** up for his own unrevealed purposes, or just for the hell of it. Another possibility is that the writer wasn't paying enough attention to catch what was going on, something that happens quite a lot with critics.

Not at all, it was just one guy who said he wasn't sure what the villains motives were. But he said the movie itself was class

I thought we had heard a bunch of spoilers before that said Mandarin was underwhelming.

I think that was a mistake. Someone from New Zealand told me it's released there on April 24.

So what's the ruckus over the midnight showings? My theater is only listing a 9 pm showing Thursday night. Is that what's going to be happening or is that a misprint. I don't mind a earlier showing, just was wondering.

I seem to recall that there was a general feeling of "it's good, but not as good as the first one" when reviews and reactions started hitting.

The fact that some of the Iron Man 3 reactions so far are things like "Best of the MCU" or "on par with IM1" is definitely promising.
