Off topic, but to hell to the person who took the M out of MTV.

As of the past few years the M has changed from Music to Media...

MTV should change its name to RTV -- Reality Television.

I DVR'd the awards show so that I wouldn't have to sit through **** just to see the IM3 ad and the bits about The Avengers. On other sites I read that some of the "humor" was more atrocious than usual, so I'm glad I didn't even try to watch it.

wow that was awesome
even though it was short this movie is gonna rock!
[BLACKOUT]love the repulsor piano attack on Heli[/BLACKOUT]

[BLACKOUT]I love that his armor is still not as reactive and fast, so extremis can actually help the later [/BLACKOUT]

Ah so they won that?
Yesssss.
I know the MTV awards mean next to nothing but I saw that the other day and I would've been pretty confused had they not have won. Speaking objectively, it was hands down the best fight scene in any movie this year. Not much room to argue with that.
And it's good to know the little twitter reactions we've gotten so far have been positive. Not surpising :woot: but good

Eh I don't think so. It was a fun action scene and it was cool seeing the heroes on screen fighting but they never really fought together so eh it was just them seperately fighting just a bunch of random not great cg aliens and really the only one that had really awesome action was the Hulk and Iron Man. I would have taken The Raid , Skyfall, and TDKR over it easily.

Was that a f**kin Grand piano?

btw Hiddleston wins best villain. yay!

Tom Hiddleston is the man. Women are going crazy on twitter.

"I AM LOKI" MY PANTIES JUST WENT DOWN SOUTH

LO-freaking-L

Internet writer Kris Tapley just tweeted that the scene was hard to follow. I wouldn't worry about that cause I'm sure it was edited for the show. However he did also say he hopes what he's "hearing about the film isn't true". I'm a big fan of Shane Black. Hope this film ends up great.

Interesting how JARVIS says the suit is a prototype. I guess Tony completes it while he's stranded in that town?

Agreed but I'd also take a lot of movies with fight scenes last year over it. Django Unchained, Dredd and The Amazing Spider-Man come to mind aside from the one you mentioned.

Personally, the Helicarrier fight was the best fight in that movie.

Anyone who found that scene hard to follow isn't very bright.

Around this time last year there were rumors from Internet sites like AICN that The Avengers hadn't impressed executives and others who had seen it in previews. "Not cinematic enough" was repeated ad nauseum until it became the trolls' mantra on this forum. We all know how that turned out. This time I'm not taking any of these alleged "insider" sources seriously.

I haven't really been agreeing with Tapley lately so those tweets don't hinder my excitement (He didn't like what he was hearing about TDKR either, and I love that movie until the end of time).

And I also don't see how that scene is hard to follow either. I know exactly what's going on, and it's exciting as hell.

yeah i don't get how that scene is hard to follow. House getting blown up, Stark suits up, suit doesnt work right, improvises by blasting piano into chopper. Its not neurosurgery.

TA wins movie of the year!! Damn, Avengers cleaned house tonight..haha.
