More later, but IRON MAN THREE is the best Marvel Studios film to date, by a lot...even if I had some problems with it.

Shane Black's script outdid the whit and hollowness of Joss Whedon's Avengers script. This isn't even up for debate.

glad you enjoyed it :)

1. Iron man 3 – 8/10
2. Iron man – 7/10
3. Iron man 2 – 4/10

:)

Iron Man Three - 8.5/10
Iron Man portions of the Avengers - 8/10
Iron Man - 7/10
Iron Man 2 - 3/10

Oh, and the Air Force One sequence is the best of his solo outings, followed by the attack on the mansion.

Bigger International opening than The Avengers last year, which was $185.1M!

With more markets opening up, inflation of 3D prices, and inflation of ticket prices, these records will continue to fall year in and year out.

Still, pretty huge.

Called it! :word:

Woah...is Iron Man bigger in Asia than Spider-man?

I'd say it's mostly due to newer markets. 3D ticket sales are dropping, according to the NY Times, and regular ticket sales aren't increasing as much as usual.

Yeah records breaking hasn't really meant much since Avatar. It happens every year now. Transformers 4 will probably take a legit shot at it next year, and whatever record stands will definitely be broken by star wars in 2015.

When Spider-man broke the opening in 2002...now that truly felt special to me.

Every summer has an event now it seems, so records falling isn't the thing it use to be. But it is still good to see. But the test comes with TDW, WS and GotG. Hopefully they continue the trend. Records? Probably not, but I hopefully a big Avengers/IM3 bump.

I liked the low level henchmen's line
honestly i hate working here they are so weird :woot:

so, for something totally subjective, someone's opinion is your deciding factor that it is better than avengers? By default, I know I am not going to like this as much as avengers, because Thor isn't in it.

Some people have biases. The theme of something be very heavy. I LOVE an origin story

That really isn't fair. :woot:

They need to do more Iron Man films! He's become insanely popular and Iron Man 3 is one of the best Marvel movies yet!

Leave 'em wanting more, I say. IM needs some time off to let the rest of the MCU build a fanbase.

That is bad logic imo. Why wouldn't they be able to build a fanbase alongside Iron Man? It makes little sense really.

To me, Iron Man feels more fresh now than ever. I feel there are more adventures for him. After e.g. TDKR I felt "Well this is definitely it. Great closure and not much more to do with this Batman".

Iron Man 3 I felt had [BLACKOUT]closure but also at the same time opening doors. It felt more like a closure to a phase of his life but the beginning of something new. Much like going from adolesence to adulthood, as comparision.[/BLACKOUT]

It's just like to say I find it ridiculous that a film like this, made in America about an American character is released in the UK before it's out in the States.

Stupid.
