Apparently it's Scanline VFX and Digital Domain doing the work. But they worked on the first one also.

There's no way ILM or Weta don't work on the movie at all, especially not after their work on The Avengers.

They're not. They lost the bidding war to Scanline, who are supposedly cheaper. It is what it is.

Maybe they've seen something in these other companies that show a greater potential for better cg. I think there may be some people so hungry and dedicated to creating that they are willing to sacrifice money for passion of there craft. Well it's an old fashioned notion, I guess.

It's not listed on their official site as an "In Production" work.

Nope. The deal with Paramount ensures that, like Avengers, IM3 will have the Paramount logo. Thor: TDW, however, doesn't have that and will probably be the first with the Disney logo.

Agreed some people are going just crazy over it. Change is good why would you wan to see almost the same thing every time.

Those are both studios that have done good work.

The only time I really worry about what VFX studio is working on a movie these days is when there's a fully CGI character. A lot of the smaller studios can handle most other work just as well as ILM or Weta.

If they aren't involved in Guardians or Avengers 2, it'll worry me.
