Sometimes the obvious choice is the right choice and that's why its obvious lol. The best example of that is Prof X.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what I said, but there's a difference between "the obvious choice" and a safe/typical choice. For example, Henry Cavill is the obvious choice for Superman, and Bradley Cooper/Chris Pine are safe, typical and boring choices for Flash.

Anyway just so people dont think I put my cast solely on looks, if I did that, the cast would be Malambri as Superman, not sure on Bats, Berenice marlohe as Diana, etc

She does have the right look for Diana, can she act ?

She is in SkyFall, so maybe we will know about acting ability.

John Abraham as Apache Chief... he would be brilliant... him or Lou Diamond Phillips... it'd be great if they focused and introduced a Native AMerican superhero into the ethnic mix of pretty much only caucasian/white superheroes. Make it multi-ethnic with the addition of Apache Chief as a character and get Lou Diamond Phillips to play him.

To further add some spice and zest and uniqueness to the mix, the Martian Manhunter character is very much Asian looking so they should get an Asian actor for this sort of role (if Ben Kingsley can play Mandarin then the reverse should happen as well where a good Chinese actor should play a relatively Asian enough looking character, as in by FACE on the Justice League cartoon series) - my suggestion is Bai Ling

Karl Urban and Paul Bettany, that was something new. But why not?
I can also imagine both of them playing Hawkman.

If Abrams is making JL, then it wouldn't be far fetched if he brings his fellow Trekkie Urban with him.

paul bettany as aquaman would be cool. he already looks like one of those pale transparent deep sea creatures.

Disagreed.

He also hasn't proven himself to be a Hollywood leading man. He plays a supporting role in all of the movies he's in.

Bale had American Psycho. Cavill had Immortals. He needs something. That's another reason why I prefer Kinnaman. He has Robocop and The Killing already, and has worked with the likes of Bale, Oldman and Keaton.

A leading performance isn't necessarily a good or, even if it is, not necessarily the best performance in the film. Many actors have shown this be true.

Chris Hemsworth had no leading roles before Thor, Downey's career had sort of fizzled before Iron Man. Luke Evans will undoubtedly see greater fame following his appearances in The Hobbit trilogy and Fast 6.

Luke Evans looks absolutely nothing like Batman.

Some actors do(Fassbender,Hamm) and some actors dont(Evans,Hammer).

Gerard Butler
Chris Pine
Henry Cavill
Kaya Scodelario
Michael Fassbender
Bradley Cooper
Anthony Macky

Kaya Scodelario?

Is that a joke? She looks like a little kid. In fact, she looks exactly like the girl who plays Oliver's teen sister on "Arrow."

Butler could play her father, lol.

Wonder Woman needs to be a ....woman.

He's playing supporting roles in those films as well.

Marvel took a risk on Hemsworth. Warner Bros took a risk on Routh. WB hasn't taken such chances since.

Based on what I've seen of Luke Evans so far, I'm not convinced he can be a leading man in Hollywood. There has to be reasons why he's always playing supporting characters.

Pine is just a completely unrealistic choice for anything at WB. Another studio is signing his cheques and he has a good rapport with them. Same goes for Fassbender. There are reasons why they're specifically doing tentpole franchises at Paramount and Fox respectively.

The difference is, all of Brandon Routh's acting experience amounted to a year on a soap, a handful of one episode appearances on shows and an extra in a film.

Hemsworth had the same, but with he added advantage of playing a supporting role in a indie film, starring in another (with Sean Bean) and having experience on a big budget film (Star Trek).

Luke Evans has more experience than Routh ever had, and I feel is a vastly superior actor. I'll probably appreciate most choices, but after Fassbender, he's my pick, which essentially makes him my top pick.

Eddie Dean: I thought of Bettany in the past regarding Aquaman actors. never believed anybody would suggest that NOW, because of his age.

There are other, younger actors with a higher chance to land the role, like David Gallagher.

David Gallagher for Aquaman! Or Rhys Wakefield

.... David Gallagher? The kid from 7th Heaven who played the Wonder Teen on Smallville?

As Aquaman?

neither did keaton, he seemed to have done alright. i happen to think he's got a keaton thing going for him.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say Tom Jane would make a pretty rockin Batman.

I was impressed by Luke Evans' acting as Zeus in Immortals, so I am confident of his acting ability, having said that I have yet to see a better candidate than him. (excluding Fassbender, who may not accept the role as he is Magneto in X-Men.)

I told Abbie Cornish to audition for WW on Twitter twice and she favorited both of my tweets. I found that pretty cool.

That is cool! One thing I want to say about when I fan cast is that I try to take into account when the film will be made. So that is why it will skew on the younger side for a character I wouldn't expect to see for a few more years

Kevin Zegers/David Gallagher for Green Lantern (Kyle/Hal)

I am just so glad the movie is off the ground and rolling, that i cant even wrap my head around a cast yet.
