yea and he still looks like someone in there early 30's besides, Stewart shouldn't be a really young guy in his early to late 20's, he should be someone who's been in the army for over 10 years (cause he was lol)

Well it is possible to be in the arm forces for 10 years and still be late 20s/early 30s.

The great thing about John Stewart is that they can go with an older guy in his late 30s to mid 40s or someone in the late 20s to mid 30s. Having an actor that has served in the military and done multiple tours adds age and maturity to anyone IMO.

I've always pictured GL 2 going something like this: John Stewart returns from the mid-east or another foreign country after serving multiple tours. He returns home to open arms after having won countless medals and receiving national recognition. However, back home he is unable to find work and wonders where his life will go now that he has taken on civilian life because he can't kill anymore. Then one day he sees Hal fall from the sky into the street. Hal is unconscious and his ring dims. Hal asks John for help and John pulls him into an abandoned warehouse. Then through a window he sees some sort of space alien bad guy flying through the sky searching for Hal. Unable to fight Hal's ring drops off his finger and flies upon John's. John trying to tear it off is somewhat possessed by the ring and fires upon the alien bad guy. The alien baddie believing it to be Hal and more powerful and not weakened from the fight as he thought tries several more attacks before flying off. Then John speaks Hal before he slips off into a coma. John is then transported to Oaa and meets with the guardians.

Good choice! with what we have so far from GI Joe stills.

If somebody can throw a badass WW-esque suit on that pic, like Blunts manip.

I only want Bale as Batman. And also, I want Ryan Reynolds back as the Green Lantern! And of course Cavil for Superman. I enjoy continuity, and I feel RR did a fine job with the part, and any short coming from his film wasn't his fault.

That said, yeah so I have this idea in my mind of how I would like to see the JL movie start.
I'd like to see it start right at the end of The Dark Knight Rises film. Replaying the last 3 or 4 minutes, give or take.

So it opens with the finale of TDKR when Batman's ship blows up.

Than the camera moves in, and after all that debris and dust has settled and fallen into the ocean, from that huge bomb Bane was going to use to destroy Gotham City with, we see Ryan Reynolds there, flying in the air, in his GL suit with his hand extended and a green beam being emitted from his ring, and at the end of the beam, is Bale's Batman, encased in a circular ball shield where he was once sitting in his ship, saved by The Green Lantern. Hal than takes Batman from Gotham to tell him of the Earth's impending danger.

Anyway, so with the rest of the cast:

A good Wonder Woman could be played by: Charlize Theron. Bar none, hands down she would do the part great justice.

A good Flash could be played by: Jake Gyllenhaal.

I agree about Bale and Reynolds. Audiences know them even outside of Batman and Green Lantern. I have no problem with Reynolds coming back but I get why it's a crappy business move.

If Reynolds comes back I would need it to be a completely different universe from that horrible movie. I don't mind Strong back Sinestro but it wouldn't hurt me if that was erased too, as if none of it exists. Reynolds wouldn't be getting another solo movie anyway.

So Reynolds would be given a makeover. Suit, etc. Playing an alternate GL. But even with that said, I think John Stewart is the better choice. Or no Green Lantern at all. That's another option.

I gotta say, my interest in JL is winding down and im more into the idea of a Batman/Superman team-up or a Trinity (but called World's Finest). That's why it doesn't bother me if GL gets tossed out.

I could see Gl getting the G.I.Joe treatment and being revamped under a new director. I didn't have a problem with the CGI suit that much as it did make perfect sense for GL/Hal to have a suit like that given that it is powered by the ring. However, the suit was ugly IMO. I liked Sinestro's and Tomar-Re's designs better. Plus that mask looked cheap and crappy. They should have made it bigger and less CGI looking or forgone the mask and done a green light emitting from his eyes that resembled a masked sort of when around people he didn't want know his identity.

If they do a GL 2 then they need to introduce John and then they can go from there. Honestly GL has some of the most potential for a film franchise based on all the directions they can go. GL should be THE 3D property for DC/WB.

I say give it a sequel/reboot a la G.I. Joe and the film will be successful. If no Reynolds then Duhamel is my man!

Cotillard's doesn't protrude as much, and Palicki is nowhere near the same league as Marion.

I agree, I mean it wasn't most of his fault that the movie failed. He did the best he could to portray Hal no matter how bad the movie was. It just didn't really lived up to its potential the way it was originally supposed to. Knowing WB, I'm sure they're going to do a reboot on GL and maybe even recast Hal as well.

It wasn't his fault at all. Costume designers, the effects, the writing, directing, most of the cast around him besides Mark Strong.

Um Reynolds didn't do his best as Hal...he did what he is known for. His portrayal of Hal was the same as Hannibal King, Wade Wilson/Deadpool, and almost every other character of his. That's his schtick! Yeah he was given poor direction, but if the studio was banking on him and if he did his research he could have approached the character differently. The Hal that I am familiar with is barely if anything like the Hal I saw on screen.

He was given poor direction IMO. His portrayal of Hal sucked! The movie sucked! The direction sucked! Blake Lively in her role sucked! There was a lot of sucking!...that's what she said lol.

Seriously though....if they do a reboot-sequel then they need to go the direction of G.I. Joe and change the tone and go closer to what people know.

Yeah I don't dislike Reynolds, but he definitely phoned it in in Green Lantern. Part of me thinks he knew what the movie was gonna end up being so he didn't really try.

I mean it's sad when it seems he put more heart into Blade Trinity and Wolverine Origins over Green Lantern.

He DEFINITELY phoned it in. But again, that's down to the writing, direction and not having a costume. Most actors cant get into the headspace of an action hero unless they have that suit on. Ive heard many cases of this.

When all you're doing is pretending something is there, it's just not the same. Cavill and Bale can get into the role so much more.

Green Lantern/Reynolds appearing in a JL movie, with a different and more serious direction would really benefit further potential movies. It creates a soft reboot.

Adrianne Palicki. Nobody would care if she was in an unaired pilot.

My exact thoughts. WB has their Green Lantern and Wonder Woman. They just ****ed up with how they handled them. The situations they put them in. Give them another chance, rework the hell out of them. It'll be fine. A soft reboot for both. All you have to search for is Flash, and that goes to Ryan Mothaaa****in Gosling ladies and gents. Throw him all the cash in the world and tell him Nolan/Bale are involved and that man is in.
