Evans' sexuality is ambiguous. He says gay, his PR says straight, now it's pretty much no comment.

1) I've always been on the 50/50 between Gemma Arterton and Gina Carano train. I think either fits WW perfectly.

2) I think Matt Bomer for Batman works, he was a popular choice for Superman before Cavill.

3) I really like Charlie Hunnam as Barry Allen/Flash or Aquaman (if they insist on including Aquaman at all).

4) Chadwick Boseman needs to be scooped up by WB before Marvel gets to him. Cast him as GL John Stewart

Carano touches Wonder Woman im streaking for 3 hours. I think I may have already said that once :hehe:

She can't act her way out of a paper bag.

Hunnam would be so badass as Flash or Aquaman. I hope he gets one of those roles.

I tossed the idea of Boseman/Stewart around in my mind before, and I just can't get Elba out of my head. And im completely sold on Boseman as Cyborg. Im almost positive that Cyborg will be used before John Stewart.

I think this guy should be looked at for either Cyborg or John

I'm sure it's been debated endlessly here but I thought Gina was good in Haywire, not great, but given it was her first acting role she was good.

I think some make it out to be like she's a Heather Graham or Megan Fox. Those two are bad actresses, Gina is world's better than them imho.

But I'm also not attached to her as some others have become, like I said I think Gemma Arterton is just as fit (if not more fit) for the role.

Idris has become Michael Fassbender, people will cast them in any role. And yes, I think they both could basically pull off any role, but it's getting kind of ridiculous how many roles people have them up for. And personally while he obviously could pull off John Stewart I think he's too old. Boseman is very young, and while he could work for Cyborg too, Cyborg sucks. John Stewart is a much better character.

It wasn't her voice! They dubbed it! And the dub work was bad and emotionless too. She's there for fighting. Same with Fast 6, which was her real voice.

Sorry but even Megan Fox is a better actress. Way better.

I have never seen Heather Graham downgraded to being compared to Megan Fox before.

I actually don't think including Aquaman in the first movie is a good idea. I'd stick with the big three, GL, Flash and Cyborg (shocking). Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman should be the main characters to me in the way the Iron Man, Thor and Captain America were in the Avengers. Aquaman seems like more of a distraction. I'd prefer to see him introduced in a sequel.

I never really got any feedback about my choices.???

I don't mind them at all. I think that Jude Law may be my only big question mark because he may not be as attainable. Didn't Ritchson play Aquaman in Smallville?

But WB want the scrutiny it would bring?

Especially what with the gay jokes and psychology analysis from doctors to Grant Morrison.

The media and others will no doubt bring those things up for one reason or another.

I truly don't see how his sexual status would have any bearing on him getting the role. It didn't affect Ian McKellan's performance as Magneto or Gandolf.

Agreed.

But the character of Batman has had more gay speculation and discussions than that of Michael Jackson! That's saying something.

WB might not want to add to it.

Batman is much larger. Also this Batman will eventually link to Robin. Batman & Robin have a past with homosexuality either by homophobes or just people who like to make fun of it.

It's everywhere.

On the net, in books, magazines. Next it will be TV.

After Heath Ledger amazed so many audiences with Joker, I'm disappointed so many here are naive enough to even give the homosexual angle any merit.

Heath wasn't gay though.

Joker has never come under a homosexual bashing the way Batman has over the years.

What does batman's "homosexual bashing" have to do with anything in 2013?

Maybe will smith shouldn't be cast in any movies because of the historical bashing of black people?

"Who would see a black man in a lead role"

-said someone in 1960

You don't think there will be any kind of scrutiny, mockery if somebody like Bomer was cast as a superhero that has had so many people go into detail about him potentially promoting homoeroticism and homosexuality?

Of course people will, from all walks of life. The media love jokes and talk about things like that, especially now since superhero franchise are so huge.

Would WB want that kind of publicity for their property?

Might not be an issue of course, but it's a concern.

I already responded to this ridiclousness in the Batman reboot thread hoping this topic would just die already.

Will some publications reference it? Sure, but it won't have the negative connotation to the character like some people here feel will happen.

Bomer is leading material, I've always thought that.

Why hasn't he gotten many roles in Hollywood as the leading man?

Other actors have beat him out for roles I guess. Add on any possible scheduling issues with White Collar.
