Justice League The Justice League Casting Thread - Part 7

Personally I hope we see cyborg in batman vs superman. And I don't mean as cyborg yet. As many of you have said about how he's been made more important in this Information Age it would be great if they nailed it.

I'd like to see rock as cyborg and introduce him as a successful footballer who's come to watch the collage game that they've filmed. He doesn't need to be transformed, but just there so people will have that curiosity factor for how he develops

ryan renolds should stay on as green lantern but should be dropped from deadpool.

Timberlake would be terrible as The Flash. In fact, he's terrible in just about anything. I can't stand that guy. The only way he should be Flash is if they want him to be a little pissant of a character.

I understand and respect your opinion on Timberlake, but I doubt they would go on that route. If he was cast as the Flash, he would be one of those out-of-left-field choices that no one ever thought of (ala Michael Keaton). At this point, I kind of see them wanting to go for an Andrew Garfield type actor for Barry.

As far as Arrow is concerned anyway...not too keen on the Garfield thing myself, I just really dislike Timberlake, lol. Love Michael Keaton though (and outside of Batman, not just for Batman - I don't like Timberlake to begin with, lol).

Considering Timberlake tends to be B.O. poison when he's a lead, I don't think he's on casting directors minds, especially considering who've they cast already.

Good point there. Yet it's so weird like whenever he's not the lead in movies like Inside Llewyn Davis or the Social Network, they tend to do well.

That's because he SUCKS as a leading man. Some actors don't have whatever you need to pull that off and he's one of them.

Yeah, I'm not even a full on hater of his, I just think if he's gonna do movies, he should stick to comedies, he's not good at much else. I liked him in Friends With Benefits, but it was such a chore dealing with him in In Time.
You need to have a likable lead to truly like a movie.

That's true. I don't hate on JT either, but he seems more fitting for supporting roles, if that make sense. I too liked him in Friends With Benefits, but he works with what's given to him.

What if Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is not playing John Stewart like so many think he is but another John, John Jones, aka J'onn J'onzz, The Martian Manhunter.

I think that would be better honestly, even though I don't see MM in the movie.

The same. Also had a thought about what if Denzel was in talks to play the Martian Manhunter.

I still think Common would make a good John Stewart. He was the only good casting from Justice League Mortal.

I'd be fine with The Rock as MM and would rather see that than him as John Stewart. Dude is so humongous though...I think he'd do well as long as he could hone in some of what I consider to be innate bruteness, as bruteness is probably one of the last traits I'd consider MM to have. MM has to have a lot of soul and a deepness and cerebralness to him, a lot of personality, IMO. Can Dwayne do that? I have no doubt he would look the part, it's the other stuff I'd be a little concerned with, especially if he is essential to the plot in any way and does more than just show up for a cameo - there's a lot of potential for the Martian Manhunter character, IMO.

I'm ok with The Rock as MM or John Stewart.

If it's true they want JLA to be 'multicultural' then...
