Or an interesting movie about the making of this movie. Who could play Trank though? Casting suggestions?

How about Matt Stone?

When i search for the rumors i cant find anything where are they originating from? Im surprised cbm hasnt made a clickbait article on it either lol

No, wait. I was actually casting someone who could play him.

If we used the Trank casting method I should probably go with someone like Oprah Winfrey.

It just hit me again that this movie only went into production for about 3 months. It started in May and wrapped up in August.

Filming was actually closer to two months. They announced it started in May, but the cast was doing other things until early June and then they announced a wrap in early August.

Was this movie movie being made found footage style?

From what we've heard, it would have a found footage 'feel'. I infer they'll use a lot of hand-held cameras to give it a youtube, cinema verite feel without being a true "found footage" film.

There was one rumor that it would be done as a reality show. I don't put a lot of weight on that rumor, but it does sound stupid enough to be something they'd try.

Wow... 2 months, huh? I just can't figure out how they could film a superhero movie such a short period of time. Is the movie going to be like 20 minutes long? lol

I guess they did that so the movie would have a smaller budget.

I was reading some of the actors' quotes from wikipedia and I can't stop shaking my head.

Miles Teller: "When I read the script, I didn't feel like I was reading this larger-than-life, incredible superhero tale. These are all very human people that end up having to become I guess what is known as the Fantastic Four."

Michael B. Jordan: "We're more or less a bunch of kids that had an accident and we have disabilities now that we have to cope with, and try to find a life afterwards – try to be as normal as we can."

------------------

Then there's this:

"Mara said that she was supposed to read the Fantastic Four comic books for preparation. However, director Josh Trank suggested to her that it was unnecessary with writer Simon Kinberg adding, that the film is not based on a single issue of the Fantastic Four comic books."

So is Trank saying that this movie is not based on ANY issues of the FF comics, or that it is not based on just one issue of the FF comics? A lot of actors in comic book movies will check out the comics even if those particular issues don't correlate with the story in the film.

All of that info above sounds awful. Nothing that anyone has said about this film has gotten me excited.

Principal photography lasted 3 months, not 2. It is well established. Is the poster of the 2 month "estimate" suggesting the production lost an entire month of work because cast members were spotted in "other places" over the course of the 3 month period?" I don't think that information should be put on the "things we know" list. Nor should the found footage/hand held cameras stuff, but let's not go there because there's that dead horse factor to think about. PETA will be stepping in soon. :)

How about Justin Timberlake as Trank?

He was a *****e in the Social Network and also shares the same initials as Josh Trank. He's also got a beard in this photo like Trank.

I don't think they were saying either. Here is Kinberg's explanation of the "controversial" remark.

I once used a video camera. In the spirit of emulating the man, the myth, the legend, I think I should probably direct Trank Wreck: The Story of Josh Trank. It'll be great. I'll cast my buddy Makoto to play Trank. I don't think anybody can buy a businessman named "Jim Gianopulos" as a real person, though, so I'll make him Jim Giashev, a blogger who's grumpier than the cats he so admires. I think I've got a real hit on my hands. Very grounded, gritty, and lo-fi.

Jake Johnson from New Girl as Trank.

Would post a pic but Im confused about that whole posting pics thing that happened/is happening
