The "Keep Hope Alive" (that the rights can revert back to Marvel) thread - Part 9

So here we are in 2015 and still no title, no set pics, no costumes, no teasers, no posters, no symbols, no nothing. Was this **** canceled yet?

I've never seen the show, but that does sound just like what is needed for FF.

Of course,it'll probably never happen, since most of the time, writers are intent on turning Sue into "the most powerful member of the team."

She is the most powerful member and one of the most powerful characters on Marvel Earth. Recently she took on the Avengers and Dr Doom by herself. What is amazing is that she didn't start that way and grew stronger in power and as a character. I love that she is the maternal heart of the team, but she is also the powerhouse. I would to see the Malice arc when she turns from Invisible Girl to Invisible Woman, but I know that will never happen.

There is no news at all, that is really weird. Even for a film with little effort.

Reminds me of TMNT earlier last year with like no info until a few months prior.

Its funny that the Ant-Man trailer is expected very soon and it started filming after FF had finished filming. Sure FF is being released after Ant-Man, but it was filmed with a planned release date that was before Ant-Man. The release date change was not until after filming had ended so Fox certainly believed that they could have everything ready for a far earlier release than it currently has.

My ideal age range would be late 30's-early 40's for Reed, Been, and Doom. Then late 20's-early 30's for Sue and late teens-mid 20's for Johnny.

I saw plenty of films last year and never ran into TMNT marketing. Probably since that film got panned. TMNT has a score or 31/100 on Metacritic. Paramount WAS hiding that film in the hope that it would gross enough without marketing to turn a profit. Sadly that strategy worked and Michael Bay has a sequel planned where he can continue to ruin my childhood.

Trank and Kinberg will show something when they have something ready to show. They just haven't managed to put anything together yet. It's still post production and they didn't finish filming that long ago. You have to give them time. :o

Fixed.

Even TMNT wasn't this bad, we saw actual set photo's and we knew the film existed. I remember seeing people in those grey suits to be CGI'd over. And I remember seeing Megan Fox in her April outfit. What do we get from this? Absolutely nothing.

There's a scant few unofficial "set" pictures from this movie too.

Neither film had/has released anything official at all up to this point. First official thing from TMNT came in the form of a teaser starring a non-speaking Megan Fox in March of last year.

TMNT had some promo material and concept designs leaked. This movie had some behind the scenes images leaked.

This production is VERY much like the TMNT production. And that movie turned out awful.

Yeah...and that film did pretty good business at the box office and a sequel is currently in pre-production.

Hope it's not TOO much like TMNT...

TMNT had the novelty of being the first live action Ninja Turtle movie in 20 years AND the first Ninja Turtle movie to feature mocap Turtles.

It squeezed by on that alone to be a modest success.

Take away all of that and it's just a crappy movie that made no sense that didn't even know what it wanted to be.

Doing what they did with Shredder shows they were scared of the negative feedback they were getting.

I can't wait to see the comments on this board when the trailer for this movie hits. If most people are blown away by the trailer like X-Men: Days of Future Past, what would all of your reactions be? Most likely you all will bash it anyway.

Only in our hearts. LOL!

Has it been officially confirmed that they're doing reshoots?

Do you have an actual comment on the movie?

This is a thread that talks about the fact that many would like the rights to revert back to Marvel, what is your opinion on that?

Any comments at all about the actual subject?

Well in a way he is hoping, it's just not based on any facts. Which is part of his frustration.

Many of the supporters of this reboot only have blind faith to go on at this point which raises the question why he's mad at us? Filming wrapped on Aug 2nd. It's Jan 3rd and Fox still hasn't released a simple logo, Trank = Where's Waldo and Fox has pushed this film back twice now with no explanation why.

Hoping the trailer comes out with Kingsman:The Secret Service. I haven't heard or seen anything confirming reshoots are happening. The main cast seems pretty busy right now filming other movies.

I love how defenders of this reboot champion their cause by hallowing the mediocre and extremely overrated Days of Future Past. It wasn't that good. As much as you try and elevate it against other comic book films, Fox-Men is still a badly written, formulaic, predictable continuity mess with wasted characters that still requires checking your brain at the door. Stop pretending.

But keep hoping for that trailer for Foxtastic Four. Keep acting like nothing smells about this production. Keep moving those goalposts. Keep berating those who don't want to grab their poms poms over one hit wonder Josh Trank's "vision".

You're being too impatient. Just you wait and see. Just wait for NYCC, and if not that, then wait for SDCC, and if not that then the next NYCC. You'll change your mind when you see the Empire preview, and if not, then when the first official stills come out, and if not, then when you see the teaser, and if not, then when you see the full trailer, and if not, then the TV spots, and if not, then once the movie is out in the theatres, and if not, then when it comes on Blu Ray, and if not, then when the sequel comes out, and if not, then when they make the reboot, and if not, then when they make the porn parody. How is that remotely moving the goal posts??? :argh: :argh:

All this is your opinion. And with most comicbook movies, you have to check your brain at the door. So let's not pretend this is exclusive to X-Men. I love all the Marvel movies; but you still have to leave your brain at the door.

And like it or not, you're in the minority when it comes to not liking Days of Future Past. Most consider it a good movie and I've seen it listed in a few sites top 10 movies of 2014. That doesn't happen if many consider it a mediocre movie.

However, we still can't compare the Fan4 reboot to DOFP. DOFP had a lot going for it. The Fan4 doesn't have anything at the moment.

Hell I feel that way for most movies. If you really want to be "that person" you can poke holes/call out how everything relies on coincidence to most movies block buster or not.

If the trailer is amazing then I'll reconsider seeing the film. We don't have a trailer so it's entirely hypothetical. And if the film is panned critically and has a score below 35 on Metacritic, then I'll wait for the DVD.

:lmao: Rotten Tomatoes lumped all of the various Fantastic Four tidbits from last year (D00M, Mara saying it's not really based on the comics, etc.) and named it one of the worst news stories from last year.
