That sounds like an awful lot of "Marvel paying Fox for not much in return". Marvel would be far better off just ignoring Fox, letting them have their train wreck, and continuing to produce other movies.
Perhaps. And I fully concede my bias towards having the FF in the MCU, financials be damned. But I think this is the time to offer the carrot rather than the stick, as Marvel appears to be doing with Sony and Spider-man.
Assisting FOX in earning back what anyone with eyes could see was a horrible investment may not be popular. But if there's a way for Marvel to get their characters back with a relatively modest investment ($50 million?), minimal if any damage to the FF brand, while allowing FOX to proudly declare "We win!" without getting anything of real value, I think they should take it.
