The Dark Knight The Man Who Laughs: The Joker Thread 2.0

If a bus with that banner stopped in front of my car window on the street, I'd spill my drink or something.

Haven't seen that one yet. Simply AMAZING!! All the banners are great to me.:woot:

Someone make an avy of that new banner.

Already made it myself as soon as it hit on here, since yesterday!! I had to do it, Ive been waiting for the perfect Joker pic and this one takes the cake!! First come, First serve my friend!

Whether you had a drink or not, your pants would still get wet. :p

Yeah, there's not an OUNCE of "The Crow" to that. :)

I wish they'd have left his lips red. It wouldn't have changed the "color scheme" of the advertising campaign. "Why So Serious?" was always written in red on posters...

its all the same color tone and it works beautifully!

Yeah, there isn't actually.

I can't believe people are still making this comparison. Since when did The Crow pioneer face paint anyway?

It didnt, and I dont think it looks like the crow myself but the similarities:

1. Black thick circles painted around eyes
2. White face paint, on and around the face only
3. the strips from the mouth painted into a smile
4. Long stringy greasy hair

The first thing I thought was "The Crow."
I'm not a hater or anything. Just sayin'.

While it wasn't the 1st thing that came to mind (that was Wowza!), he looks like the Crow more than ever in this banner, with the desaturated colors.

There's no doubt the features do overlap. But the key is context. In the Batman world he looks like the Joker and this is a Batman film.

I agree that the similarities between the crow are most prominent in that banner, but only because of the colour contrast. Heaths worst picture of the Joker looks 1000 times cooler and more badass then the best picture of the crow anyday.

P.S. That banner is definatly one of the more badass pictures of The Joker

You're sig is great! I once wrote that down for an older chick at the bar who was trying to get the cook. She believed it was real magic. God help me if she has ever seen that movie since....:word:

I went to Walmart today to pick up a new xbox controller and I saw that wal-mart has like 3 or 4 different Ledger Joker posters. There's also like 4 Batman ones. I would have gotten the "welcome to a world without rules" but they were out, so I got a Joker one. Its just his face with HA written in blood.

The family of the late Heath Ledger are reportedly flying to New York to attend the premiere of their son's last completed film, The Dark Knight.

Making the trek from their home in Perth, they'll be appearing in place of their son, who died on January 22.

Heath's performance as The Joker in the Batman flick is being touted as the best performance in a comic-book adaptation ever - with Oscar rumours already circulating.

IT kinda stinks that's THAT'S the last role they're son is in and that's the last memory they have of him ya know? As a crazed killer clown ya know?

First of all, they're not going to remember him as a role he played - don't be ridiculous.

Secondly, the last role he'll appear in is in The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus.

That's technically true but Joker will be the last role he'll be remembered for by virtue of it being popularized and him fully completing it before his death. James Dean's role in Giant was technically his last one but people seem to remember Rebel Without A Cause as his "last role" b/c it was such an iconic film.
