The New New Avengers

Because with how popular the Avengers are right now, any Avengers title is going to sell pretty damn well - especially if it's written by Bendis - so to argue against that, is to argue that Marvel should make else money.

I had a whole beating a dead horse thing, but that always goes nowhere.

The X-line really has become diluted and directionless. Hopefully, Avengers won't go down that road. (or too far down it...)

I agree....again
There should be a reason form multiple books creative-wise other than because people will buy it

When's this dumb New New Avengers reveal coming?
They usually show up early in the afternoon for me. I'm in the Eastern time zone.
How is complaining about too many Avengers titles NOT talking about the business side of things?
It is. I was just talking about why people still complain about Bendis, even though Bendis has been selling a lot of Avengers comics. I don't care how many titles they publish under the franchise, myself; I'll just read the ones I want to.

The X-Line isn't nearly as bad as it use to be in the past though. In the past there was X-Men, Uncanny, X-Force, X-Factor, 8 ongoings for 8 different members (Jubilee even had one!), New Mutants.

I think I have abandonment issues. In fact, my Avengers blurb would be:

I crave approval, and reject it when I get it!

mine would be

I will get around to fighting injustice when I finish my Cafeworld

I've always felt the problem with the X-Titles have been their constantly adherence to a bunch of mediocre crossovers. It's always hard to pull off a quality crossover, but it's made even worse by having to include a bunch of titles no one even likes, by mediocre writers. Essentially, who wants to read Jubilee just so they can understand what's going on in Uncanny?

I don't really see the Avengers doing that. They've had four different titles for over a year now, and they really haven't gotten all that muddled. I've been able to read New Avengers, without bothering with Dark Avengers, or the Initiative, etc.

well the problem now with the X-men is its the Scott and Emma show and then throwing everything against the wall to see what sticks...Namor joins the X-men and then fades into the background like everyone else. They moves to San Fran and no more than a few months later they move to an island within US territorial waters and declare it a sovereign nation

This is the problem with the X-Men right now. Not the fact of the books. All the books could be substained if the direction was solid. Some are even good like X-Factor and New Mutants.

The Thing is today's reveal.
Pics or it didn't happen. :oldrazz:

Awesome. That's the first really cool addition to the team so far.

"I put friends and family first.....by quitting the team and joining the Avengers"

Yeah, like he's quitting the Fantastic Four.

I'm really not sure how this is suppose to scare us though.

Who says he's quitting the FF? Every single member of the New Avengers except Jewel is pulling double-duty.

Ben's an interesting addition, but he's not enough to get me to read New Avengers. $4 still saved. :awesome:

I think the cure for the x-titles, is to have Team Stabby blow up in Scott's face. Have him come to terms with the fact that he's as big of a *****e bag as Charles was, have them kiss and make up and move back to Westchester.

X-men was always supposed to feel like a family, and they seem more like a dysfunctional dorm hall.

sorry I was trying to be funny...looks like the New Avengers is going to be the ambassador team...everyone from every other team in it

my cure is in my fan fic....pretty much the only thing I see shocking Scott back to what he is supposed to be is the death of Xavier

Great addition with Ben. He really is one of the best characters in the MU.
