The New NEW Exiles??

People are up in arms because they supplanted one of the most beloved characters in the comic with one of its lamest villains and then tried to pass them off as one and the same. I don't get how people could not be annoyed by that.

What he said.

They appear to have fixed the Morph isn't really Morph now, so it's not so much an issue.

I am looking forward to them explaining how and when he became the next Timebroker.

I'm telling you, I have a strong feeling that Blink and Morph are playing some kind of game with the rest of the current Exiles.

Worthyness test, something like that?

I always figured, the three Exiles that should always be on the team were Blink, Morph, and Mimic.

But we know what happened to Mimic. :(

I miss him. I didn't think I would at the time, but I totally do.

And Mimic and Morph would be enough for me. I've never felt any kind of attachment to Blink.

I don't get why people are up in arms about the whole Morph/Proteus deal.

Morph aint human..he doesnt even have a normal brain..so its more stupid that Proteus would be able to take him over in the 1st place.

But It also provides plenty of "fudge room" that Morph would be able to recover from a Proteus possession.

I alos send the "why the F does ever writer love Blink so much" she has neat powers..but is overrall an average character.

First of all Morph is human, normal brain maybe not. It was a dumb cover up for a dumb cover up. They new they screwed the pooch so to speak by making proteus too much of a bad ass and it was easier to say he got morph but we made him think he was morph:huh: Then they acted like it didn't happen then they did something equally dumb to undo and undo:huh:

Consequently i'm with the other guy Mimic, Morph, and Blink were the holy trinity of the exiles and like JLA they should always be there.

Did anyone care for this teamup?

So here's a new team from my wildest imagination across company lines I mean it would be crazy best selling and the idea works because they are pulling from alternate realities anyways, tell me what yall think:

Batman

The leader of the team and wearer of the talus is Dick Grayson. In his reality after Batman had his back broken he never comes back he becomes Oracle and Dick reluctantly take up the title. And while he's his own batman after a couple of years of seeing the worst in the world and losing his own robin (tim died while working with him) He's very jaded just like the original.

Silver Surfer

Same basic premise Norrin Radd sacrificed himself to save his world from Galactus but heros and people are freaked by him and his amazing power as are his new teamates. Strangely probably the kindest and most human of the group.

Forge

The techno guru of the bunch he's about 50/50 cyborg. On his world the native american culture has very samurai type roots and they primarily fight with a sword's made by the hunter. His sword however is a tech augmented soul sword from former lover Majik who when she went insane and nearly killed everyone had him use her sword to end it.

Power Girl

Kara Zor-L was jettisoned from her planet before it's impending doom much like her cousin superman but her space ship traveled much slower when she finally arrived he body had aged to 18 years old but her mind was only that of a ten year old. She has extremely black and white ideas of what right and wrong, she is easily upset (which can be quite dangerous), and she is unaware the effect she has on men or why they like her:cwink:

Dark Devil

Matt Murdock was one of the finest heros of his world until the Kingpin exposed his identity and framed him for the murder of Karen page his wife who was actually killed by bullseye. He was consumed with rage and revenge. He sought out the hand to add mysticism to his arsenal and went on to kill bullseye and kingpin and anyone else who might get in his way.

Jubilee

In her reality Mr. Sinister captured her and experminted on her trying to synthesize her powers for himself chiding her that she could be so much more. Eventually he enhanced her but couldn't duplicate it. During one exceptionally brutal session Jubilation Lee's mind snapped she broke free and detonated matter at a sub-atomic level, which in theory is the equivalent of a fusion bomb. Having escaped sinister she went on the run afraid to let anyone close to her for fear of losing control of her incredible power. It took wolverine and professor x to retrieve her and help her gain control. She is now one of the most powerful mutants on her world.

Jason Rusch is a young black teenager who was sought out by a dying Ronald Raymond the nearly infinate power was consuming him and he had to find a new host. Rusch was dying of cancer but had a good heart and wanted to live. So the boy was saved a painful slow death but cursed to know with all his power he still eventually will die like Raymond. But he goes on to fight the good fight and look for a cure.

It's a shame 616 Mimic is still all villainish. After thinking about it some more, I think Mimic's really the only character that needed to stay on the Exiles. Blink's boring to me and Morph was great as comedy relief with some depth, but the Panther's proving that there are other comedy relief guys who can fill that slot. But Mimic was cool because he was the only character who really felt like he needed the Exiles. Back on his Earth, he may have had the adoration of the masses and a spot on the Avengers, but it was like a PG version of reality. Once he was exposed to the other, harsher realities out there, he learned how meaningless achieving all that with his life effectively set on "easy" was. And, rather than shrinking from the challenge and trying to find a way back to his own world, he chose to stay on with the Exiles and prove that he could hack it even in the big, bad Multiverse. He was a great underdog in that respect, and I think that really added a lot to the Exiles.

Plus, his powers are awesome. :oldrazz:

Yeah Mimic was hands down my favorite Exiles character. Followed distantly by T-bird.

It's a shame they never did anything nearly as cool with the respective 616 versions.

No, I'll give you my reasons why I'm not hopeful about Dark X-Men:

*Daken sucks
*Morally ambiguous Xavier sucks
*Emma is a hero now, stop teasing us with flip-flop morality

Reasons to give some hope:

*Cloak and Dagger
*Namor as an X-Men...strange but just might work
*Mimic has been absent from the main scene for far too long

Cloak and Dagger are the big question marks for me. How the hell do they fit in with the Dark X-Men? I mean, there are other "heroes" on the team, but all of them--Namor, Emma, and Xavier--have been extremely morally ambiguous throughout their histories. But Cloak and Dagger have always been full-on heroes.

It's because Cloak has been boning a minor for many years.

That's pretty morally questionable. :p

Their first appearance he was 17 and she was 16, so I was just making an excuse.

I'm sure they're both over 18 now, but there was a time he was 18 and she was 17.

Not likely Dagger is super HOT....for a fictional 2D character that is...um yeah, ok so this is all the justification I need:

Kind of sad that they gave a minor one of the ****tiest costumes I've ever seen, come to think of it...

Well, truth be told, they never really said whether or not they were banging.

They were totally banging like Batman and Robin we're banging. You figure they are, but no, they aren't......at least you don't think so....it's kinda ambiguous is what I'm saying. They're an ambiguously heterosexual duo.

You know what I wanna see? I wanna see a world where Psylock doesn't suck. One where instead of becoming an X-Man and being transformed into an Asian ninja, she joins MI13 and becomes Marvel's version of Jenny Sparks.

That'd be neat. We've seen a couple realities where she became Captain Britain herself because Brian died or something, but she usually sucked in that role too.
