Which original? There's been several 'original' universes. Did you mean Earth 2 with the golden age Superman before COIE? The more modern Earth 1 before the COIE? The Earth after the COIE which lasted until Flashpoint?

Has the Joker ever been nice to anyone?

Serious answer here

During that Villains Month "event", the Joker had a one-shot story where he adopted and loved a gorilla, raised it, made it into a sidekick, and actually mourned its death at the end. At no point over the course of the book did Joker abuse or mistreat it like he does Harley.

I of course hated this story...

There was that one time when he took over the universe and was about to destroy it, he turned Harley into a constellation saying, "I always wanted to see my dame in lights." I thought it was nice anyway. :p

There's also been times where he decides just to mess with people instead of hurting them. Like that run where he took over a TV studio and started making people act out things like in Japanese Reality shows. He recorded the producer stopping his people from helping anyone escape or help at all so they'd get ratings because he wanted to see blood for even better ratings. Joker then called him out on it in front of millions of people without really hurting anyone.

Maybe this goes here, if it doesn't, my bad... but...

Just kinda curious what everyone thinks about the new take on Lobo (has anyone read it?) I haven't read an issue, I really love the old Lobo comics for what they are, and his animated appearances were fantastic, but I'm just wondering how (reasonable) older Lobo fans feel about the new comics? One of my friends said he got the first issue and really enjoyed it, but he hasn't really read any Lobo prior to that.

I prefer the original. The new guy is ok, but he doesn't really excite me. He's more or less a vanilla Lobo. A VanilLobo, if you will. Same missions and vices, none of the crazy biker attitude.

I haven't read the new Lobo but the older one was stupid as hell. Entertaining as **** though. :D

I just read the annual that came out recently due to it tieing in with Sinestro. I was pleasantly surprised... though I have very little interest or reading experience with the previous Lobo.

Has Poison Ivy ever had any falling out with the Joker over Harley Quinn?

I remember one time in BTAS they did. Not the comics though.

hey got a question i wonder any one can help me at. I hard rumor romita is leaving superman. Is that true? if so what will be his last issue if known?

Romita Jr. isn't drawing for the November issue, so that's probably when the new artist takes over.

He's still the cover artist, though.

ok thanks for the help, only been reading it cause of romita.

What's the consensus on Scott Snyder's Batman? I haven't read any of his stuff, but I picked up the Court of Owls since people have been hyping it since release.

Is there any other arcs I should look into?

Scott Snyder is a strange case. His run is both critically and financially successful but many people on The Hype down right hate his work like the plague.

Just like any writer, he has high and low points. I loved Court of Owls so much and it's still the strongest arc. Death of The Family is good overall though not as strong as COO. I personally wasn't a fan of Zero Year and I consider it his weakest effort. Origin stories in general don't do much for me anymore and Snyder's ideas for Zero Year came off as rehashed and bloated (seriously, why did it have to be 12 issues?).

Endgame is much better than both Zero Year and Death of The Family, but again not as good as COO. Of course this is my opinion, so I'd recommend reading it all to see which one you like better.

Yeah, I think it's best to just read it all. I enjoy Snyder's run, so I recommend it anyway.

Court of Owls
Night of the Owls
Death of the Family
Graveyard Shift
Batman Eternal (the whole series)
End Game

And Zero Year is detached from the rest and can be read at any time.

Thanks team. I'll see how I go with Court of Owls. I really like it when Batman stories have a horror slant, so Snyder's run intrigues me.
