It's not that hard to do a Walken impression. I thought Franco's impression was decent.

I thought last night's episode was mostly good and better than the majority of this season so far. I think my favorite sketch might've been the guy yelling about the 4 year old mayor.

I think next time Nicki Minaj appears on the show, she may pull off double duty.

Good show!

Leslie Jones needs to go. Why does she yell in all her scenes?

The Grow-a-Guy wasn't good at first but I loved it by the end when they all blew up

She looks really good here

Im glad this skit returned :D

Yes, Leslie Jones is the worst. I wish they would cut her time and give that time to a Pete Davidson segment or sketch.

I also loved the return of the porn stars sketch. I really hope they do one with Amy Adams, but that might be too quick a turnaround to do that sketch again.

I bet one of the hardest parts about writing those sketches are finding new ways for the second girl to never give her name.

That Waterbeds Warehouse sketch made me laugh more than it should have, it easily could have been horrible, but Aidy killed it and Martin Freeman held his own.

I loved the Office but have never been a fan of LOTR, so I dug the Office: Middle Earth sketch, but not as much if I was a big LOTR fan I imagine.

Loved that church mass pretaped skit.
WU was great, not all of the jokes landed, but Sasheer, Cecily and Vanessa made up for it. It was great to see Sasheer on Update for a change as opposed to Leslie Jones, who wasn't horrible in that wedding sketch. Cecily Strong's One Dimensional Female Character From A Male Driven Comedy sorta stole the show. If they could work a sketch around that character or even Vanessa Bayer's Rom-Com girl character I SNL could have some really great recurring sketches, which is something they haven't had much of for quite a while.

Loved the Office sketch. That was one of my favorite things all season.

Holy *****! [blackout]Mike Myers[/blackout]! :awesome: :hehe:

Didn't care for the Mike Meyers cameo... Maybe because it was spoiled by Facebook before I got the chance to watch the episode, or because it wasn't THAT clever... Who knows?

All in all I thought tonight's episode was fantastic, with far less missteps than last weeks endeavor. I never really like when the host resorts to a song during the monologue, but I love and miss Kristen Wiig dearly, so I was quite forgiving.

LOVED the pretaped Asian American Doll sketch. It was brilliant. Cecily Strong's v.o. and Vanessa Bayer as the timid mother were just great. "I want to give her an Oriental rug!" "All right, but YOU did that, not us."

I also enjoyed "Office Christmas Party", "Girlfriend's Talk Show" as well as the Serial parody. I know Maya Rudolph, Kristen Wiig, Tina Fey and Amy Pohler get a lot of love for being such break out female voices on SNL, but Aidy, Kate, Vanessa and Cecily are pretty much the anchors of the show this season, in addition to Taran and Bobby.

Weekend Update was fair to middling. Loved the Kim Jong Un/ Bobby bit as well as Michael Che trying to level with Kim Jong Un aka Kimberly. It was a bit awkward during the two Bill Cosby jokes I clocked... Guess America still isn't ready to laugh about our Jester of Jell-O sexually assaulting a number of women... Allegedly. I fast forwarded through Armisen and Wiig reprising their roles as that couple who makes up songs on the spot. I don't think it's bad or anything, I just don't find it that entertaining.

That sketch about Cuba got a laugh or two from me, but overall it should've been left at dress rehearsal. Also, that "Whiskers R We" sketch was great.

That was a great episode, in fact the BEST of season. Every skit was a hit with the exception of Cecily's Serial one. I can let that slide though bc the show was overall fun from beginning to end which is quite rare

I loved the Serial sketch, tbh. Cecily and Kyle Mooney were SO spot-on, imo.

Im guessing you have to watch that show to get it then. I didnt even know that was a show till they made a joke about it during WU

*Listen

It's a podcast. Former cast member, Michaela Watkins recently did a Serial spoof on Funny or Die which was also pretty funny.

That skit where the 3 singers ended up being raccoon was unexpectedly funny. On paper, I'm sure that skit sounded like lunacy but damn that was hilarious.

I'm glad this is one of those weeks that I mostly agree with everyone. I thought Amy Adams (and the episode itself) was very good. Loved the Office Christmas Party. I also do not like that EVERY host has to sing in the monologue, but I can forgive Amy. However, I hate that the whole segment became more about Kristen Wiig (go away!) being there, instead of Amy getting to shine alone.

Not the best of the season (Bill Hader still holds that honor), but one of the top ones.

Same here. Michael Che said for more on this ask white people. Don't ask my white ass lol. I had no clue what I was watching.

Amy Adams episode was pretty good, it had consistent quality all throughout the episode which is a rare thing for SNL, so overall I was pleased. Not as good as Hader's episode but still one of the better episodes of the season

J.K. Simmons (:awesome:) is hosting January 31, with D'Angelo as musical guest.

Please, please do a Whiplash/J. Jonah Jameson crossover.

The show better be on his tempo! :awesome:

SNL peaked with chris pratts episode. The rest have been just meh and this cast is the weakest i can remember
