Has anyone been reading the new Ant-Man comic? It's two issues in, and I'm loving it. I think it's done more to sell me on Scott Lang as a character and make me excited about the upcoming film than any of the actual film marketing has done.

is it connected to the movie?

Agreed! It's quite funny too.

Speaking of Ant-Man comics, the movie prequel comic released today, and Peggy Carter makes an appearance.

Yea , I've been enjoying it also , I like Nick Spencer's writing , funny , without being silly and Ramon Rosanas art is good as well , clean and simple , this comic reminds be of the comics of the 1970's , where they never took themselves to series

I love the cover of Ant-Man #4

Ant-Man prequel comic was good. No real big spoilers in it.

Pym is a SHIELD science consultant. Pym squabbles with Howard about not letting his Ant-Man technology fall into the wrong hands and volunteers to go on a mission into east Berlin.

If I was to guess when the comic takes place I would say either the 70's or early 80's as they had those old computers with the black background and green text.

The comic is good.

I like that Scott Lang is portrayed as a more everyman character in it. One of the issues I had with how some writers wrote Scott in the Fantastic Four books is they tried to make him another science genius character.

People make a big deal out of Scott being an Avenger but he was an Avenger for little over a year. Scott became an Avenger in Avengers vol. 3 #62 (2003) and was killed off in Avengers vol.3 85 (2004).

Brandon Routh as Atom

You think they could have at least changed the color of his exosuit

I was thinking it'd be blue. I like everything but the helmet.

Yeah, wasn't his suit blue in the books? That kinda sucks. Pretty obvious and some people will actually claim that Marvel is copying DC when ANT-MAN comes out.

Oh well, I'm always rooting for Routh and hope his proposed spin-off happens.

To be honest, I dont think many people will connect Arrows Atom to Ant-Man as I suspect that although Routh is indeed playing Ray Palmer, he's just going to have enchanced strength and agility like the Al Pratt Atom, via that suit. In short [no pun intended], I dont see him shrinking anytime soon.

I don't mind the Atom suit itself. It's okay.

But man...Routh's face and posture just kill it for me. That baby-face just doesn't work for a superhero. It didn't for Superman and it doesn't for Atom. I've got nothing against the guy...he's a good actor. And he's a big guy who fills out the suit. But that face...

It'll be a blessing when he's in his 50s.

I dunno, I kinda like that design. Overall, I've been really impressed with what they've been able to pull off visually on a TV budget. I also really like the tone of the show. The writing on the other hand... Gods, let's just say I wish I could turn my brain off for an hour so I don't have to physically cringe every 5 minutes.

I can't wait to see Rudd kill it in this movie. I've been a huge fan of his for a long time and he really deserves a big bump in his career.

Still hoping we get a new trailer wih the return of AoS.

His casting really amped up my excitement for Ant Man. Although Michael Douglas and Lilly didn't hurt either.

Remember that Lego set report that said Hank Pym was the villain? Turns out it was wrong - BUT - the set includes both Scott Lang AND Hank Pym, suited up as Ant-Man, fighting Yellowjacket. Could they both end up suiting up together?

Great to hear! Where did you see this?

Douglas said he doesn't suit up in the movie but he could of been lying. Lego isn't exactly movie accurate though.

Douglas did have his long time stunt double working on the Ant-Man so I'm sure there is probably at least one action scene that might involve his character.

The helmets are swapped (mistake on whoever set up the display's part), Hank is the darker red one.
