It'll no doubt be in the Bruce Timm style, but that's definitely part of the DC Universe line of movies.

Here we go:

Yep, there it is. Time to get excited. WB sure are going all in on the DTV front... still even if the only release one classic DTV a year, it fills the gap after the third DC Universe release.

I think we'd all love:

- Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman
- Burton's Batman
- Batman: The Animated Series
- A return to JLU in general.

Michael Keaton voicing the character again would be simply amazing. Not sure how likely that is, but I'd be all over it. Story wise, I guess it'd be the continuation just after Batman Returns?

This is really, really exciting stuff! It's almost like....they can't NOT do it if they're doing a whole line of these "DC Classics".

Now mind you, if they really decided to go all-in with "Burton's Batman 3", it obviously would be a far more daunting creative challenge than this 60s series movie. But man, I'd love to see them try.

As much as we would all love to see Keaton come back to voice his version of Batman, I highly doubt it will ever happen.

So vague, I wish they put out a press release about the line as a whole.

I'll admit that I have absolutely zero interest in watching anything to do with Burton's Batman if Keaton isn't involved.

I'd feel that way if it was a live action project of some kind, but not so much with this. Would you feel that way reading a comic or graphic novel set in the "Burtonverse"? This is not much different than that, if at all.

Kevin Smith's Superman script? Batman Triumphant/Unchained? Justice League Mortal? Other known-but-unmade gems. Interesting thing about the first one in particular is people know a lot about it already (and Batman cameos, woulsd have been the first DC character crossover)

But a lot of people around are talking about resurrecting the 1989 Batverse so hopefully they've taken notice.

If it was live action they'd have to recast unless it was 25 years later. At least in animation you may still get the vocal performance.

and 'DC Classics Collection' where will it stretch? Animated versions of old film/TV (Superman with Brandon Routh on an Atom break? Smallville too with Welling actually as Superman?) or comics i.e. pre-Crisis?

We've heard next to nothing so far but hopefully at NYCC they will elaborate

...then you put them all together for Justice League t:

For Superman surely Brandon Routh? Surely he'll be ableto take a couple of days out from being the Atom?

Um yeah, it is different because you don't physically hear anyone's voice when you read a comic.

His point is simple to understand: there's no physical actors playing the characters, so you can use whatever means necessary to tell a new story.

With this case in particular, they can cast any voice actor to fill the role, and come out with someone who sounds like Keaton. When Hamil didn't voice The Joker in Arkham Origins, Troy Baker stepped up, and if you didn't know any better, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Sure, Keaton would be awesome to have, but let's be real, his Batman barely speaks, and when he does, I doubt it would be hard for a professional voice actor to mimic.

I didn't say it wasn't simple, its just a personal preference. I don't care to see a new live action, or animated version of Burton's Batman without Keaton involved. I'd rather have the real thing or nothing at all. On the subject of the ditched comic idea, I would love to see that happen.

Having Keaton back would be a nice feather in the cap, and would be great for publicity.

But honestly, I'm just as game for it either way. My interest in this is seeing a continuation of that story. You could argue Burton or even Elfman returning would be just as crucial for this, but I think at heart this would just about satisfying a "what if?" curiosity many fans have had for years. You'd have to think of this almost as an Elseworlds story for the Burtonverse.

I agree that Elfman's theme at least would be mandatory for an animated feature to work but the score itself I could see handed to someone else though with the work Elfman is putting his name on these days, there's no reason why he shouldn't get involved.

To answer your question, yes. Though I've accepted long ago the fact that both Tim and Michael, are already over the character of Batman and I never planned on ever seeing them step back into that world again. I just feel Tim more so than Michael has even less interest in taking a step back into it. Keaton IS Batman to me, so him being involved is more important to the project than to have Tim involved creatively.

Bottom line is I don't see either of them returning, but if I'm wrong ill be more than pleasantly surprised.

I don't expect either of them to be involved in any way, either, but I'm still very excited about potentially seeing an expansion or continuation of this universe in some form of media.

As I said above, a comic or a series of comics is something I've been hoping for, for a long time. I really hope that can become a reality.

There are 559 slides of Batman 1989 and 114 slides of Batman Returns with film scenes, candid and behind-the-scenes shots with Tim Burton directing, make-up and special effects department props including multiple views the Batman suit as well as the Batmobile, The Joker, storyboards, concept art and more.
