Batman Returns The Official Batman Returns Thread - Part 4

I'm calling it: it's Victor Fries. Remember in Batman & Robin they said he was a two-time Olympic decathlete in addition to a scientist!

I think the only plan ever hatched for B&R was how to bury the evidence.

Never seen that before. Did you discover it by yourself?

(damn that avatar)
Yep years ago when I discovered it, at my previous job during downtime I would watch movies on a portable DVD player and you can pick up more details when your eyes are focused on the smaller screen.

Yeah I noticed it as well when I was watching it on bluray.

Wow. I need this in my man-cave.

That figure is gorgeous.

Looking through the site right now, and I found this amazing "statue" too:

I got the Batman sixth scale a couple of months ago. Though I prefer the '89 look (and film), I missed out on that version when it released so I made sure not to miss this one. The posability is limited by the suit (even moreso than the actor's was) but it's really great piece. Still, Hot Toys Robocop remains the jewel of my collection, haha.

Stunning figure, congrats Saint. Is it Hot Toys?

That looks so great. I too prefer the 89 suit but it's always been a toss up for me between it and the Returns suit.

I just went to my local con in Indy and this is what I saw:hmr:

I also like the stand that comes with it.

Did it come with any gadgets?

Yeah, it has basically everything he uses in the film:

-Napalm grenade
-Grapnel gun
-Zip line (with line)
-Batmobile remote
-Remote control batarang
-The Penguin missilelaunch remote

I think that's everything, not counting alternate hands and faceplates. The coolest feature is that there's a magnet in the belt, so you can stick the grapnel gun on his belt the way it works in the Burton films.

Rewatched the film and still overall loved it despite noticing some flaws (mostly that there is too little Batman, though he's pretty great when he does appear, the film is more about the villains and even aside from that the pacing is pretty erratic).
The film is *really* dark, violent and cynical, especially with TAS and Nolan for comparison, at times I'm both impressed and kind of wishing it was a *little* toned down.
The characters are great, especially the relationship between Max and the Penguin and how evil both of them are.

He finally came! This just became my favorite figure of my collection.

The belt actually looks "correct" in this particular photo. They did barely alter the paint on it for the final release. They changed the napalm things from silver to gold too.

That cereal tasted like ****. B89 cereal was much better.

I keep looking at the poster, is Batman there and I'm missing him? :O
