Tough call - cause there are episodes I love that involve him like Beware the Creeper, but it's more of a Creeper episode first then Joker.

What is everyone's all-time favorite Joker episodes of BTAS?

Probably The Last Laugh or Joker's Favor but honestly, his best stuff was in Phantasm and Return of the Joker.

True story...

His murder of Valestra, and messing of The Phantasm.

"Honey, I'm Home!"

The 'Model City' fight.

His jetpack fight -> laughing into gas cloud

...akk top everything in the main series, only thing that comes close is his eulogy to Batman in The Man Who Killed Batman.

I gotta go with The Laughing Fish. Brilliant piece of writing in the original comic by Denny O'Neill, faithfully and effortlessly adapted into TAS form. It highlights the dichotomy between Joker's bizarrely nonsensical end goal with his meticulous planning and attention to detail. And you see this fantastic chess game going back and forth between him and Batman, where each of them is making their move in reaction to the other, each equally matched.

I'm gonna go with Joker's Favor. I just love how creepy and nonsensical he is in it. This scene is so funny.

-Well look at the size of that cake, man!! :hehe:

Joker's Favor for me too. The thought of unwittingly pissing off The Joker on the road and then the subsequent horrifying realization as those ghastly eyes are staring at you from the next car over has always been a nightmarish scenario to me.

Joker's Favor and The Man Who Killed Batman are my top two favorites.

Joker's favor for how sadistic he is in it tormenting some poor Gothamite for years just because he cussed him on the freeway. Plus it introduced Harley, one of BTAS' biggest contributions to Batman lore.

The Man Who Killed Batman because it shows how Joker really felt about his feud with Batman and how he depended on him for fun in crime. That eulogy he gave was just genius.

Batman's laugh in that scene was perfect. :woot:

You all pretty much nailed it with those choices.

I agree with Kane that his best stuff was in Phantasm and Return of the Joker. That flashback in ROTJ is pitch-perfect in just about every way, and his appearance -- the way he looked -- was also perfect.

The way Joker is used in Phantasm is something I'd love to see in a live action Batman film some day. What I mean by that is, the film's focus is a different antagonist, with Joker showing up somewhere in the second half of the story as a wild card that screws things up for everybody, stealing the show in the process.

The only problem is it works so much better if it's totally unadvertised, and it's hard to imagine WB not advertising and/or managing to conceal Joker's involvement in a live action film. But if they ever manage to pull off a surprise Joker cameo, it would be golden. I think they are better positioned to try something like that now more than ever with the cinematic universe.

put me down for Joker's Favor too, love when Charlie confronts Joker in the alley and Joker calls out for Batman in fear.

Heart of Ice is my favourite episode of BTAS but when it changed to TNBA I think Over the Edge really took the crown of single best episode.

I just realised you were talking Joker episodes Doh! Not sure which is my fave there too many to count.

Well, it was only the second episode they produced after all.

Fun bit of trivia I only recently learned, Clive Revill (who played The Emperor in The Empire Strikes Back pre-special edition) was the voice of Alfred in the episode (and two other early episodes), meaning Christmas With The Joker features both Luke and The Emperor.

Actually, the second episode was Christmas With The Joker. ''Joker's Favor'' would have been episode 22 of 65.

Plus, it's not like the animation got better as it went along. B:TAS has wildly inconsistent animation thanks to multiple studios (of varying competency) working on the show.

Sorry, I totally got mixed up and thought you were referencing Christmas With The Joker earlier. My bad.

Good point about the multiple animation studios though.

I watched Big Hero 6 the other night and I recalled B:TAS
The villain Robert Callaghan was reminiscent of Mr. Freeze.

I loved that moment... sadly, the animation gets a little wonky.

As time passes I begin to dislike the ending more and more...

It really diffuses the threat of the Joker they had so ably built up..

I know Batman is a badass and nothing the bad guys throw at him will really threatens him. Seeing how terrifying he is to Charlie really shows how scary he can be to the regular Gothamite. Having him play the fool at then end hurts the ending to me.

Batman: The Animated Series made number 1 on WatchMojo top 10 animated superhero shows

Definitely don't agree with the majority of that list, but B:TAS has it's rightful place at the top.

Yeah, TAS Joker is a bit vain and a coward from that episode. Joker should be laughing in the face of danger like that.
