Zack Snyder has to be decietful right now because he's doing tons of interviews but can't give away anything about the plot. there's no reason why Diane Kruger would debunk something like this if it weren't true. the other 2 candidates haven't said anything about the role.

This cast shouldn't have the expectations of needing to haev Oscar nominated actors. There's so great actors who haven't been nominated for an Oscar. We've just happen to have Oscar nominated actors, but that isn't important. The important thing is, those four are good actors, and this should be treated the same way, Oscar nominated or not.
