i want Anton Yelchin or Michael Angarano for Jimmy Olsen
Ive only ever seen Viggo as Aragon...so I cant imagine him as the bad guy. Is there a movie where he has been a villain or something?
Either would be good.i want Anton Yelchin or Michael Angarano for Jimmy Olsen
A black Mr. White...
I don't think any of the core Superman characters can be changed in race without it looking or sounding silly or awkward.
You need to catch upon your 'Eastern Promises' then.
The casting for Lex has to be next.[/semi-rhyme]
Not really. There's really there can't be a black Jimmy, Perry, Lex, etc...
Jimmy - Donald Glover
Perry - Jeffrey Wright (credit to Octoberist)
Lex - Idris Elba
Brainiac - Lance Reddick
My first thought to this was The Jerk.Should've made Ma and Pa Kent black...![]()
i wouldn't mind a black Jimmy or Perry so much. not only are there no important black characters in the immediate Superman-verse, but changing Perry or Jimmy black would go a long way into making this film feel more modern.
No, it's the cinematic equivalent of affirmative action. I've got no issues with a racially diversified cast. But don't do it at the sacrifice for the iconography of 70+ year old characters. There are other parts you can cast without the requirements of being white.i wouldn't mind a black Jimmy or Perry so much. not only are there no important black characters in the immediate Superman-verse, but changing Perry or Jimmy black would go a long way into making this film feel more modern.

As an aside, there's nothing timely of skin color. That "modern" argument always bugged me.
