What a boring way to look at it.

No it won't be the most difficult role, but only because he's only a side character and may not have that much to do, not because the character has no depth.

If they did a Jimmy Olsen stand alone, you'd expect a lot more of the actor.

But I still think it's important that they pick the right person who's portrayal of Jimmy will suit the style of the character AND the tone of the movie, who has a certain amount of chemistry (not sexual, just dynamic) with the rest of the cast, and who will bring something new and refreshing to the role.

I really thought Sam did a good job of all that last time. He wouldn't fit with the cast or tone of this film, but he did well in capturing a Jimmy Olsen quality.

BTW, I don't want Jesse for Jimmy either, it's a thankless role and I'd like to see him in bigger and better roles.

But in a realistic world, if an Alien shows up, surely the President would have a say in the matter? Maybe the Army General is ordered by President Obama (Harry Lennix ) to confront Superman in some way, becoming some form of an antagonist?

In the end, Superman becomes a deputized ally of the US.

In a realistic world, saved for sequels, this could cause great tension between America and Russia? Maybe not though

If Lennox is in the movie and he's playing the President I dont think he'd play Obama himself. But it would definitely be a nod to Obama and emphasizing the modern take as well.

I hadn't thought of that before but... yeah, he'd be perfect. He looks a LOT like him. If I was casting an Obama movie, I'd definitely get Lennix.
