The Official Casting The Superman Reboot Thread - Part 2

That actually is a brilliant suggestion. Holloway could come off as someone kind of arrogant and someone Lois could be mildly attracted to if it weren't for Superman, or the fact that he's such a meat head(making him a decent foil for Clark)

I see what you mean with Danny McBride, and I think he would be hilarious. However, he would almost come off as a harmless buffoon that Clark wouldn't have to think twice about.

I get sortof a Ron Burgundy vibe from Lombard. Maybe Will Ferrell? :oldrazz:

Beau Bridges is an infinitely better actor than Sam Worthington.

+1

I can see Beau as Perry easily.

If Sam Worthington is Lex I will be disappointed. That man has been vastly overrated and I haven't been even impressed by him in any role he has ever played. I think his best was Avatar.

I was thinking for him Lex but it won't happen because he is currently filming at the moment so he is out.

So, you didn't see Lily Collins in the Blind Side or Alexander in that's what I am.
Why is it Collins is the only one you're defending?

And yes, I've seen her in both and liked her in both, doesn't mean she's right for Lana with the cast that we have already.

I also like Parsons from the Big Bang Theory.

How about Amanda Seyfried for Lana? Or Hayden Panet .....Pantyraid,? :woot:

Dont waste your time, guys. I already nailed the Lana casting. :o

He might not be a good actor but he is bringing in more money than Beau. Looking, at this collection of stars their going for big name actors.

So... you'd sacrifice good acting for someone that might bring in some cash.

You don't need to have huge names in ALL of the supporting roles. It would be nice, I guess, as long as they are capable actors that fit the parts, but I don't think every single role is going to be filled with a huge star.

Hell, of the roles that have been cast, not all are megastars. Cavill is far from a household name. Antje Traue is a virtual unknown to most Americans. Julia Ormond was never really a household name. And Costner, Lane and Crowe haven't been in huge movies in a while. A capable character actor like Bridges would fit in fine there, especially in a rather minor role like Perry.

As for Lex? They'll probably cast a bigger name there but I'm almost positive they'll get someone with much more range and presence than Worthington.

Unless of course they plan on using Lex Luthor II, Lex's Aussie son/clone. Worthington would be okay in that role because at least he wouldn't be required to fail at an American accent again.

Jimmy: Hey, Chief. You in?

Perry:[YT]kFeaK5UJ8O4[/YT]

It won't happen, but i'd like either Dustin Hoffman, Alec Baldwin, or John Goodman as Perry.
Anton Yelchin or Rupert Grint as Jimmy.
Lex, i've gave up lol.
