wow. it doesnt get any bigger than vaughn.![]()
Brad Bird started out directing live action films before he moved to animated. I'd be fine with JJ if he stayed away from writing the project himself. Hmm, maybe JJ directing a Brad Bird script could be a pretty lethal combo.
BTW, that alex ross painting used in the article about Vaughn and Miller, where he's sitting in the chair in deep thought, is one of my favorite images of the character. I hope it gets adapted to the screen sometime.

"Here's to me not knowing the difference between being American and being British. Cheers."

My mistake, I noticed he had directed an episode of Amazing Stories and just presumed it was live action like the rest of it's episodes. No he didn't. He has worked exclusively in animation, other than writing the script for Batteries Not Included in the late 80s. He is directing his first ever live action film now.
t:That's my least favorite pic of Supes. He looks like a fat old man in it.![]()
Micheal Bay for Superman.

The 8 hours is spread over three movies. That's roughly 2 hours and 20 minutes per film. Equivalent to 'The Dark Knight' and 'Transformers 2'. Two very huge blockbusters. So obviously the audience doesn't mind that length. No saying Bay directs Superman better then Mark Millar. An 8 hour Superman trilogy get real nobody will see a movie for 8 hours and no one cares about watching Superman entire life story.
What is this The Life & Times Of Superman get real!
