I've always felt that Brendan Fraser would've been a great Superman, but he's getting too old to start a new franchise.
Underrated actor really.
I think he is 40 now, but really doesn't look older than 33-34 to me.
There's no big-name actor who fits the physical aspects required of the character. Full stop.
Plus, all of the actors you've listed are WAY older than what Warners would want for a sequel-spawning franchaise.
He looks closer to 40 to me.

DisagreeEven with the wig in those films..
He still looks closer to 40.
True, but irrelevant to the point of the thread. Just having fun with some what if's of known actors. His Superman time is up.
Wasnt Fraser attached to JJ Abrams superman? I remember hearing him in an interview saying he was really excited about it, personally hes a bit goofy looking for the role but he might be able to give the superman films a more dramatic feel to em.
I wouldnt mind see Josh Harnett offered the role again or maybe Ashton Kutcher. Both of them havent made any big movies in awhile, they are big names but kinda on the downward.

Ya know, Josh was never that bad of a choice to me. Ashton though... Ehhhhhh
DiCaprio as Luthor would be perfect.
Agreed.Jake Gyllenhaal would work for me as a big name.
I would rather have a big name play Luthor. DiCaprio as Luthor would be perfect.

On second thought, I do remember that Law/Alex Ross manip. He looked good. But neck-down, Law is at least 40 pounds away from looking remotely good for the part.If established Superman....Jude Law FTW![]()
