I checked it twice yesterday and didn't see it. What took them so long?

I never cared for the Bloody Palace in previous games, but I'm still not tired of the game after 45 hours put in it and the gameplay here is so fun that I'll try to complete it.

I like Bloody Palace in DMC4 with all upgrades, playing as Dante with the Pandora is fun

It seems Vergil's Downfall is coming on February 28th with roughly 4-6 more hours of gameplay and is a continuation of the story of the game. IGN has a preview:

Vergil's Downfall doesn't seem to be 4 hours. Nephilim play through on YT is done in under 3 hours easily.

I completely disagree. The story was getting very stale as were the characters. 5 would have been worse than 4 which was already a terrible game. I don't think it would have made much if any more money than DmC.

4 is a terrible game? Just, no.

The idea that the characters were getting stale makes no sense. The games hadn't even followed in a linear manner. Lady and Trish had a combined screen time of under 10 hours over the 4 games.

After playing MGR I would def be interested in PLatinum making a DMC 5. That humor,insanity and style still works and doesnt come off out dated at all like some have said.

How were those characters and story getting stale when DMC 3 is known as the best game out there for DMC and 4 wasnt even focused on the same characters? It was focused on Nero. Rather people wanna admit or not, they did drop the series too soon. And now its gonna hurt them with a great new game series.

def28 have you played Bayonetta? It really is the spiritual successor to the original Devil May Cry. Quite possibly the best game the genre has seen.

If you are going to play Bayonetta, I wouldn't play the PS3 version. It was ported by Sega, not Platinum.

DMC4 has more issues than the new one (2-3 against 1), but terrible is too much

Yeah that game is insane, combat is brilliant. Bayonetta 2 might actually get me to buy a Wii U. Wasnt too excited about that going exclusive for Nintendo.

After all that talk about DmC's deeper story and complex characters, Downfall could be summed up as: "Vergil turns mustache-twirlingly evil 'cause some visions point out what a jerk he is, he fights a Hollow (no, really, right out of Bleach), and then he goes Super Saiyan. Also, parallels with Lucifer! LOL!"

Didn't Tameem say the series needed reinvention? So why is DmC2 turning out to be a redux of DMC3?

Well, fans whined when they tried to do something different, looks as tho they'll be whining yet again when they copy old games. Damned if ya do, damned if ya don't. I'm skeptical about everything I read about this tho. I mean ya don't know if it's coming from a bratty fanboy or someone who actually knows what they're talking about.
