Now if they'd only make Sparda playable. But proper Sparda, not just a simple skin for Dante.

Sparda would be hard. They'd have to create an entire style and movement set for him. They have already done this for Vergil, Lady and Trish.

Don't think we will know until the end of the month.

Now that's a proper Vergil. "I need more power!" So happy to hear those words again.

Vergil looks glorious. I enjoyed his addition in DmC but it was way too short. Looking forward to going through the whole story as him in Dmc 4.

Well, this bit of news seemed to slip by today about the re-release: it'll be digital only in the West. I'm reading that it'll apparently have a physical release in Japan, though I'm not sure if this has been explicitly said.

Okay, Devil May Cry fans—you’ve been waiting since December for solid info on Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition. Here it is.
DMC4SE is currently in development for the PS4, Xbox One, and yes, the PC, and set for a release this summer. It will be a digital release, but you can expect a tremendous amount of content and replayability at a great value.
DMC4SE is a heavily enhanced version of the 2008 stylish action classic, featuring:

  • Three new playable characters, making for a total of five playable characters—the largest playable roster in the series’ history.
    • Vergil – Dante’s ice-cold twin brother and master of the iaijutsu sword fighting style. As described by the game’s director, Hideaki Itsuno, Vergil will have a fully upgradable move set based on his rendition in Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition, with elements of DmC Devil May Cry’s Vergil added in, making this the definitive version of the character. He will also feature a new “Concentration” mechanic, which makes his attacks get more powerful the more flawlessly he fights.Vergil will be playable on any mission.
    • Trish – Resident badass since her first appearance in the first Devil May Cry’s opening cutscene, Trish does away with the need for weapon switching, instead utilizing the versatile Sparda sword, her pistols, and her bare hands in a variety of inventive ways. Trish allows players to fight with relatively few buttons, but is still quite a deep character with an awesome move set. Trish will be playable on Dante’s missions.
    • Lady – Playable for the first time, Lady specializes in long-range, firearm-based combat, making the game feel completely different. Her signature weapon, the Kalina Ann, features a grappling hook which allows her to traverse environments similarly to Nero, among other applications. Lady will be playable on Nero’s missions.

  • Legendary Dark Knight Mode – First introduced in the PC version of Devil May Cry 4, thismode pits players against an absolutely tremendous number of enemies, meaning you’ll have to adjust your combat strategy.
  • Turbo Mode - Enhances the gameplay speed by 20% across the board.

  • Enhanced visuals – 1080p support and up-res’d textures, while preserving the game’s 60fps framerate.

  • Bonus costumes and skins.

  • Numerous minor tweaks to game tempo and balance.

Oh man. That is cool. DMC4 might be my favorite.

Wait. Digital only? Bummer.

I'd be Ok with a digital release then, but physical is always my first option for the most part.

Yeah, I'm a bit disappointed myself. I'm not like anti-digital, but I would've liked to go physical for this one (and in general, I'm more into physical).

I have some digital games but I'm a sucker for sleek cover art so I usually get a physical copy. Oh well, I'm still buying it.

You're right, it was. That's weird, I did a search for the word digital on this page, but it said nothing was found, which is why I posted that.

But well, I've told you before that's one of the reasons you should isolate certain things of note, especially when they're contained in a long article with a lot of information where it's easy to miss.

Since its digital only, it would have been cool if they had that be a preorder incentive for getting DmC. Preorder with a download code upon release. I wonder what the pricing will be. I really hope they arent doing $40 for a digital only title of a 7 year old game. $30 is the most they should go with that

hmmm From now on I'll make sure to features are stated cause I did separate it was lo prior with the video with the article which I cut out cause I didn't want to put up the same video taking away attention from what you put up already.

Not sure why.

Wasn't Wind Waker like $60? And that was a 10 year old Gamecube game.

I'll be surprised if it's less than $40.

Or you could just simply highlight a part and make a brief mention of it if you feel it's kind of hard to miss.
