Does anyone truly want a show about batman villains without batman? Isn't batman the whole reason we travel to Gotham as fans and why we love the lure? These villains and Gordon and Gotham all go through the character of batman/ Bruce Wayne. Defend it if you want but as of now this show is too much nonsense too handle. I'm not too worried as this is fox and we know they can cancel at the drop of a hat.

Well, I think the main reason you don't have to worry is this: NO ONE'S PUTTING A GUN TO YOUR HEAD! You can stop watching at ANY time.

And as for the second part of that sentence, the show is doing better than any other scripted show on the network right now, new or returning. So, better luck next time. :o

Bruce just needs to kick some ass already. Come on. People will say "But he's only 13!!" and i'd say "Yes! A 13 year old Batman should be kicking ass! and if not physically do it as a secret detective with gadgets and intelligence.

Jason Todd became Robin at what? 11-12? And he was able to kick ass at that age! Tim Drake was what? 13??? He kicked some criminal ass!
Damian Wayne was also very young as Robin and kicked ass too. So why not Bruce? Would it be because it would be unrealistic? Like the show isn't already unrealistic. Lol.

If Bruce doesn't start doing some secret detective work that gets criminals arrested in Gotham by the end of the 1 season. I am jumping out my first floor window. And that will hurt... kinda.. Don't make me do it! :cmad:

Ugh! Dont get me started on that insufferable little bastard. :cmad:

What if my childhood was a prequel leading into my adult life.:o

Does anyone truly want a show about a pre-Batman Gotham? Yes, we do. So don't presume to speak for us.

In some takes of Batman that I've seen, it's because of his arrival that starts the chain reaction in bringing out some of Gotham's worst villains/criminals out in the spotlight, whereas in other stories....Gotham is already so deep in "hell" that Batman comes out as a result of that and thus starts to clean up the place.

Which route do you guys think/want the show to take in regards to that?

It's pretty obvious. And it isn't about the city being bad-off necessarily but about the criminality being of the freakish variety, which is something that has always come after Batman show up. But this show already has that decades before Batman. It already has gimmicky vigilantes, freakish villains, and a rouge's gallery all one step away from the real thing. By the time Batman appears he will be just another in a long line of craziness rather than a major turning point in the city's history.

Batman in this show will represent a new turning point: the moment when the city decided to fight back against its freaks with a freak of its own.

This may be a controversial opinion but I think it'd be a good idea in the future if the show kills off established Batman characters. I think that'd be a good way to establish that even though this is a "prequel" show anything can still happen.

I sure hope puberty is kind to David (Bruce). He doesn't have any older brothers so we have no idea how his genetics are going to play out. it would be rough for the series to have a Bruce that didn't physically look the part in a few seasons.

It's starting to get kinda ridiculous that every Batman villain is at least 20 years older than him. They keep introducing the villains before they became villain as fully grown adults.

They should have made Bruce in his late-teens/early-20's

Yeah... when Batman comes onto the scene, he'll only need to punch Penguin/Riddler once each and they'll have cardiac-arrests and die.

well not all of them. and Penguin seems fairly young. early 20's maybe. so he only has 10 years or so on Bruce. Nygma seems to be around 30. so 15 years difference thereabouts. Selena ,Ivy and Tommy are his age or close enough.

Still don't get the Ive Pepper name lol, was Pamela Isley to normal for them.

Tommy? Cant remember who that was. I figured they were gonna show Sionis' son named Roman in his episode, sadly mistaken.

Don't have all the info but isnt Scarecrow supposed to be on soon but its Crane's father.

It's part of the origin they're creating. Her father gets framed for the Wayne murders, her mom cuts her wrists and she eventually gets adopted by the Isleys.

So she becomes Ivy Isley? Most kids keep their original first name when adopted

But Ivy IS her original first name

Pratically everybody in life has middle names, don't they? :o
Is it not possible that her middle could be Pamela and she goes by that? Would make more sense and be easier on the tongue than "Ivy Isley".

Probably not important, but it's still a stupid name change. I blame the writers for that crap...all the juvie like ways of them ramming references to who these people are down your throat every five seconds.

That means Isley isn't her original name in this show. :o They could have used Isley done with it As you know Harvey Dent's original name was Kent DC changed to Dent cos of Superman's earth name. Gotham producers want to put their spin on the character I won't surprised be if DC use the name Ive Pepper in the New 52. I don't know what's happening in the new 52 though :o

Or maybe they could have just not used Ivy at all. I just don't see the point of shoving her character down our face, and making her effin' creepy and ominous as a kid, just so we get the gist that she'll eventually grow up to be a sociopath.
