In that they've consistently worked well as characters individually and together. The idea of Ed and Oswald masterminding a tilt at the mayor's office is actually exciting.

That seems awfully subjective. Personally, while I'm very interested in seeing Nygma become the Riddler, I'm not that interested in this storyline. Just out of curiosity, are you a nygmobblepot shipper?

Penguin Running for Mayor?
Where have I seen this plot before?

Batman 66. Pengy and Batman run for mayor. Pengy has Paul Revre & the Raiders perform
at his rally.

Batman Returns. Pengy pinning buttons on buxom young voters. ;)

So I was at NYCC today and attended the Gotham panel. Was cool stuff. It was Erin, Robin and David for this panel. All seemed super nice and into it. Had no idea that Erin was British. She started talking and I was like oh wow the accent, nice surprise.

Erin's American accent is A+.

A video of the panel is up:

Btw I never notice that Robin is so short, even David when sitting looks bigger than him (and David is awfully thin).

The actress who played Kristen is returning as "Isabella". Our Harley Quinn?

I still think that Barbara is the one who will become Harley.

- She has good chemistry with Jerome.
- "We don’t want to give too much away but it will definitely be someone connected to the Joker cult world that we have set up. But it’s down the road, later in Season Three right now." - John Stephens - Barbara performed a murderous magic show with Jerome on live TV, I'm pretty sure the Joker/ Jerome cult know her well so it's easy to see why she's connected to the Joker cult.
- She had a respected job then turned crazy.
- She's connected to Arkham.
- Jerome sort of liked her.
- She's bisexual.

I must concede that atm I can't think of any reason they bring Chealsea Spack in a different role, but I find the chance that she will become Harley Quinn seems slim compare to Barbara's. Maybe she will be a Kristen-lookalike named Isabella and interact a bit with Nygma.

Why is a version of Harley Quinn needed on this show?

Because the show doesn't have anything going for it besides looking beautiful and nudging the viewer in the ribs with their elbow as they make tons of Batman references that won't ever pay off.

Yeah I was surprised when she started speaking. Her American accent is a good cover up when she's acting. And yeah David is actually not as small as I thought. My buddy got a pic with him yesterday and he was not tall but also not short.

Yesterday was my first con and this was my first panel, it was a lot of fun! Can't wait for next year.

When David brought out the dog it was awesome. That dog was so calm and chill even with the huge crowd. Just would sit on the stage relaxing, stretching looking at all of us haha.

There's a huge difference between comic book sales and general public awareness of a particular character. It's true that Harlequin sells better than Superman but everyone knows who Superman is. Now, I guess most people know about Harlequin too due to Suicide Squad but it's not the same kind of established brand.

The best-selling HQ title of 2015 ranks at #109. For a Superman title it's #310. Hardly earth-shattering numbers for either one. Compare that to the Batman sales. And overall speaking Marvel is running away with it.

Adding Harlequin to Gotham will mean nothing for its ratings, especially if they're just transforming an existing and not-too-well-liked character.

Unless my memory fades me, this is the first time that Penguin
actually won though.

This might be a stupid question:

Since Gotham City is just that, a city, what state is it in? Has the comics ever addressed that? Or is it just Gotham City, Gotham... like N.Y. City, New York is?

Never mind, I googled it... Gotham City is in New Jersey

Gotham is New York, it's that simple.

Gotham was inspired by New York, as was Metropolis, but the fact that New York as a place exists in the DC universe sort of negates the idea that either city is New York.

Frank Miller once said that Gotham is New York at Night, Metropolis is New York during the day. But geographically, Gotham is in New Jersey and has been referred to as such fairly consistently since at least 1974.

New York is even called Gotham and has been since the early 1800s. Washington Irving came up with the name.

That doesn't negate the fact that New York itself exists in the DC universe and Gotham is physically in New Jersey.

Both Gotham and Metropolis are inspired by New York City, but neither IS New York City.

I know, but given that New York is actually called Gotham in real life it is crystal clear what the inspiration for the fictional Gotham is.

Gotham external scenes are even filmed in real life New York City.

Nobody is arguing about the inspiration. The question was about where the city is physically located.

I saw young bruce pick up and look at a photo of his family at Christmas and its looks like he holding machine gun , i took a screenshot, does anyone have a clearer photo or know what he is holding ?
